So, he gets lost in the jungle as a baby, and this means he grows up to be Lon Cheney with green skin and orange hair? Dude, George of the Jungle got lost in the jungle as a baby as well, and he grew up to be a barrel-chested Brendan Frasier who married a hot blond and christened his first son at Pryde Rock, all while getting to hang out with John Cleese. And what the **** is up with his electrical attack, anyway? The manual says he learned it from electric eels. WTF? He spends time watching electric eels, and suddenly he can send thousands of volts of electricity coursing through his body at will? (Do electric eels even live in the Brazilian jungle? Hell if I know.) Does this mean I could learn how to light up my ass if I spent enough time watching fireflies?

Street Fighter II's characters were a hilarious bunch of national stereotypes. They even made fun of Japan, twice, with karate guy and sumo wrestler guy. All they need is an Eskimo and a Leprechaun and it's a full house.

At least Ryu fit into the whole "martial arts prodigy who can channel his ki into raw offensive power" archetype. But Blanka is some kind of feral Lou Ferrigno who bites off people's faces, and who learned how to electrocute foes by studying fish.
