I think MegaMan 6 is pretty terrible. 8 is bad too, but not on 6's level.

I liked Mega Man 7. 8 was pretty lame though. Especially the soccer ball. What the hell was that?

Megaman 6 was thoroughly disappointing, but I don't disdain playing it.

X7 was absolutely awful though.

I never liked the Battle Network series, I do not understand why people enjoy it.

MM7 and 8 were just total crap after the NES run of MM and the debut of MMX. Their concepts were tired and the screen ratio was all wrong and the attempt to add more than the necessary backstory was tedious and the art was uninspired. Sure, they're playable. Sure, they're tolerable. In the scope of the series, though, they just weren't trying.
