MegaMan LP

Ok, so I want to do a MegaMan LP, but I've never played a MegaMan game in my live. (Sad life, I know.)

What I need YOU to do, VGF, is suggest to me a MegaMan game you want me to fail- I mean play.

Any games suggested before January 1st goes into a poll, then everyone votes. K? K.

DO IT NAO.

Obviously the LP itself will take place AFTER the one Marchie and I are going to work on during his Christmas Break, and recorded when I get the chance, so I can't guarantee there will be any consistency in upload time.

This is early, but I wanted to do this before I forgot. :P

--------
EDIT: 1/1/11 Poll added! Typo and all!

I searched the site for all the suggestions (different spellings and all), and added the ones that are actually on that site.

The option with the most votes by the time I actually decide to start recording will be the winner.
Also, you can vote for more than 1.

I'm suprised; I thought their collection would be much smaller.

As for the games I want to see: Mega Man II, Mega Man 6, Rockman 2: Deus Ex Machina (you'll probably want to do easy), or Mega Man V.

(EDIT: Perhaps I should explain that many people use Roman numerals to describe the GB games and standard numbers for the other games, so as to not get them confused. So, by Mega Man II and Mega Man V, I'm referring to the Game Boy titles, not the NES titles.)

(Classic) Megaman is notorious for punishing you at times, if you didn't already know. "How dare you try and beat our game!? *backhand*"

Of the games listed I'd probably say, "If you're going for Classic style, maybe/probably Megaman & Bass (epically hard/cheap final boss fight(s))
If not then just Megaman.

If you're looking for more an RPG (albeit an original RPG) then probably something like Megaman Battle Network. ('tis not nearly as challenging as the classic games, but is a fun series without a doubt) Most suggestible would be the first in the series, just cuz.

I hear Zero is teh awesome, but I've never played it, save for the beginning of the first game ('twas emulated). It seemed goodgreat, but the story makes alot less sense if you haven't played the X series.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you're allowed to link to such a site here. Link omitted for now.

As for suggestions, I guess starting with the original is cool. Make your way from there?

Oh! Well, that DOES make a difference, because I always assumed that MegaMan II and MegaMan 2 were the same. O_o I never knew that before.

That Heat Man fight looks evil.

Not the worst Heat Man fight I've seen, though.

Ok, if you're going to brainspike Megaman (meaning play the games until your brain begins oozing out your nostrils) you gotta start at one and just go man. I suggest going in this order:

Megaman (1-6)
Megaman (Gameboy versions. 1-5)
Megaman (6-8)
Megaman & Bass
Megaman (9-10)

That's how to start it. After this, it goes two ways:

Path A: RPGs
Megaman Battle Network (1)
Megaman Network Transmission (Rare, for the GameCube, not an RPG)
Megaman Battle Network (2-4)
Megaman Star Force (1-3)
(Megaman Battle Chip Challenge falls in here somewhere between the Battle Network and Star Force series as well, unknown where in timeline.)

Path B: Hardcore
Megaman X (1-7)
Megaman X Command Mission (RPG)
Megaman X 8
Megaman Zero (1-4)
Megaman ZX
Megaman ZX Advent

I recommend playing both paths first. After that, your fanboyism will be complete, and you shall be rewarded with:

Megaman Legends
Misadventures of Tron Bonne (prequel to Legends, but released afterwords)
Megaman Legends 2

By the time you're done, Megaman Legends 3 should be out for the 3DS, and you will have earned the title of THE Robot Master. You will also have wasted your life.

(And if you can track down copies of Megaman Anniversary and Megaman X Anniversary, they have The Power Battles and Battle & Chase on them. Not required by any means, but if you're looking for completion. If you manage to get those done, just chill, relax, and reward yourself with a round or two of Megaman Soccer.)

Dammit this means that i have to throw up some LP's from smb3 before you start with this.

The delay comes from me missing some cables so i haven't been able to transfer the footage to my lappy
