Robot Master of the Week #48: Bomb Man

DLN-006

Bomb Man, also known as "Bomberman" (ボンバーマン, Bonbāman?) in Japan, is a demolition Robot Master from the Mega Man classic series, with the ability to create powerful Hyper Bombs and throw them with startling accuracy, allowing him to destroy most targets with ease. He was created by Dr. Light for mining and construction purposes, as well as to blast away debris so that land could be cleared for construction projects, working in tandem with Guts Man. Bomb Man is a playable character in Mega Man Powered Up and Mega Man's Soccer. He can be fairly reckless with his explosives, due to his relative immaturity, and in Mega Man Powered Up, was shown to have a generally fun-loving, immature and sometimes quite sarcastic personality.

Fun Facts
-Bomb Man (along with Fire Man) is one of the only Robot Masters from the first Mega Man game that did not appear in any of the arcade titles. Also, he (along with Guts Man) did not appear in the first Game Boy title.
-His Japanese name is the same as Bomberman, a character from his own video game series made by Hudson Soft, thus explaining why the Robot Master's name was changed for the English release.
