You really should make the images smaller so that they don't take up the whole screen of my old computer and so they don't take so long to load for those using 56k connections. Your grammar is bad and your text bubbles are terrible. It's your comic's worst flaw. If Joe isn't going to listen to me then someone else should tell him. Just look at that text! The art could certainly be improved, but your cartoonish style seems to work fine for your comic purposes. I recommend using a better pencil so you don't have so many smudges like on the first one. I think your punchlines are actually good. The fact that a strongly focused beam of destruction couldn't open a pickle jar was kinda funny. Just fix your damn text and get yourself a better pencil and you'll have some decent quality comics here. |

Instead of writing in your text, type it in after you scan it (Take this for example). And seriously, do something about that paper. It looks like you got frustrated and crumpled the hell out of it. It just looks bad. ~Dylan |

An art teacher once said a wooden pencil is much better for artwork than a mechanical pencil. That's bull. A mechanical pencil is much easier to erase than a wooden one, and also makes thinner lines. Now, if you want to shade with yor pencil, yeah, that's when wooden trumps mechanical. 2 - Get better paper. 3 - Are you drawing your word bubbles, and then trying to cram the words into them? If you are, don't. Write the words first, then do a bubble around them. 4 - Try drawing the comic with a mechanical pencil, going over it with a pigment pen, then taking an eraser to it to get rid of the pencil lines. Pigment pens are nice. They come in various thicknesses, and don't bleed at all. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

While I was at Hobby Lobby looking for the pencils he told me about, I finally found a No.8 pigment pen (I have about four other sizes, and the guy at VGCats says No.8 is the best for comicing) ![]() Where are these lemmings going?
