See, since an old fat guy and a random police officer with a SMALL CALIBER FIREARM are obviously a match for some super-assassin with blades on his arms and apparently some explosives (which cause one explosion in the comic), I'ma gonna have the old man go Bruce Lee on the assassin's ass! And the cop? Gonna match Arnold F'-in' Schwarzenegger. You know, like in Commando? Because he's obviously going to throw a milk carton through the swordsman and say "I'll put you out to pasture!". But seriously now, what are you expecting those guys to do? I mean, even your beloved Trigun uses this trick, SANS POORLY DRAWN BLOOD EVERYWHERE. (Innocents/building/something/somebody get all blowed up before revealing who the baddy really is) |

| Senior Member | Okay, Glyph, could you like, PROPERLY tell him what was wrong? I freaking hate it when somebody is negative when they are "Reviewing" the comic. These are supposed to be fun, not full of insults. Lets stop this "battle" of some sort. Lets just see if LVK can improve a bit and learn from some of his mistakes. So..... Nothing to see here! *Shines flashlight* |

| Senior Member | Hmm.... Something was bad.... I dont know really. Wait, I think it may have been the joke. So, they were forgetting TMNT, right? (Probaly not, I'm not that bright....) Nice effects, though. Dont know why Glyph hated them. It was acually a good comic, but it needed more. (Thats my problem......) You should get someone else then me to review it. I suck at that, sorry. |

Also, that wasn't the humor, that one joke. That one joke was stupid, but it was designed after the old TMNT show, where stupid groaner jokes and plots were littered everywhere, as well as some really cheesy effects. The comic was meant for goofing off and nostalgia reasons. You had to have been a fan of the old show to appreciate that one.

So bad, in fact, that I thought that LvK made this comic as a joke to see what people would say about his comic making skills. And I'm not just saying that to be mean or anything. I honestly thought it was a joke. Quote:
Edit: Oh, and how did you get 'beloved' from 'only bought one volume and it's the only example I could think of'? [ March 05, 2005, 09:02 PM: Message edited by: Glyph Phoenix ]

| Senior Member | I DO have glasses. Anyway, this is supposed to be fun, or something, and yet some reviews explain whats wrong, but not very nicely. And can we avoid wars? Most of this topic has been wasted because of arguing. Lets just see what LVK posts next, and then review again. (I suck at that. Shut up Ted! I loved that movie....) |

| Senior Member | Okay, it wasnt a war. Unfortunatly, I like to snoop. Its bad, but..... I CANT HELP IT! I'm not going to post in this topic until Lvk presents his next comic or something goes.... wrong. Yeah, the text bubbles stunk. But you werent trying, so it can be sorta-expected..... |

You said you hated Goomba Adventures and Avatar Mario and whatever else crap you churned out. Here's the double jeopardy question: are you capable of doing anything that is at least halfway decent? |

I have realized that everything Glyph is going for is correct and totally awesome, yo. Using Glyph's advice and own success story, I have created my own ultimate uber comic ![]() LOLOMG IT IS EXACTLY HOW A COMIC SHOULD BE. 8D Appreciate it or else! Nobody here is better than me! If you soften blows to other comics AND DON'T WORSHIP ME YOU ARE AN IDIOT.I don't like this comic BUT STILL IT REIGNS SUPREME. YOU ARE WRONG IF YOU DISAGREE.See, I have lots and lots and lots of humor, plot progression, THE OBVIOUSLY BEST TYPE OF ACTION IN THE WORLD, randomness, and a heroic tale ALL IN ONE COMIC. OH MY GOD. ISN'T IT GREAT. IT IS PERFECT. And it has seriousness too! Look at it! It refers to Trigun! The epitome of action and seriousness!! Because we all know it is the most serious thing ever. That crazy dancing and constant changing of emotions are so serious. I read Trigun but won't bother to dedicate myself enough to pay for it and am a casual action game fan. But I played Contra. I am therefore an authority. [Woah. Geeze. Will you guys just chill out? No need for you all to get all up in each others faces over a stupid thing like comics. I know it's a shocker...but comics are supposed to be fun... So yeah, everyone just needs to lighten up a little. Besides, out of everyone here, I'm the master at making crappy comics. Heh.-jay (P.S. "Extreeeeme Action". Hehehehe.)] [ March 06, 2005, 12:47 AM: Message edited by: Perrin Aybara ] |

If you don't get it it si becauzx of an intro. I'm too lazy to make it good. ![]() I could post more but I don't want to. But the stuff I didn't post is better, trust me. Yep. It really is better and you're wrong for saying my comic's bad because it's really good I just haven't shown it to you yet. If you don't get it it's because you're not nostalgic enough! But even though I really can't make anything good, I'm perfectly intent on telling someone they suck even though they already admitted something they made isn't terribly good and they're going to try and work on something better. Because I am just teh awesomeest. |

Glyph, you said on AIM that took 5 minutes to do. Be ashamed. Be very ashamed. Especially since, you know, you manage to constantly blow things more out of proportion than I did. [Seriously. You guys need to chill out. For crying out loud, Glyph, they're comics. Lighten the heck up.-jay] [ March 06, 2005, 02:56 PM: Message edited by: Perrin Aybara ] |

Gender: Posts: 5,444 Thanks: 3 Thanked 10 Times in 10 Posts | Okay now, before you express your anger all over the back of my head with a baseball bat, I'd like to state for the record that I'm not perfect, nor a shining example of maturity, nor do I claim to be. Glyph: I'm serious. Even I am not this pretentious, stuck-up, and elitist about sprites and comics. Just chill for a bit, k? I mean, I may not be nice all the time, but at least I don't start sh*t and blow it out of proportion. But yeah. I start sh*t, and I'll try to stop doing so. Probably doesn't help I stay to argue. Now, as far as I'm concerned, I don't care what you think. I have my fans, and I have many people who either like it or wouldn't get so massively worked up about it. I kinda like it, they like it, and they actually know two things: 1.) Sprites and comics are meant for fun, hobby, etc. Don't make things too much bigger than they are. 2.) You really have to give things a chance develop, or give them more of a chance in the first place. Some things are different, and most of them already know what it's like to have similar frustrations or procrastination. Now once again, I'm not trying to play the saint by any means, but this is the truth as far as I'm concerned. Now, any posts, PMs, or IMs used to continue this argument will be met with some form of punishment. Oh, and by the way, I'm probably gonna be leaving these parts for a few days. |
