You should listen to Joe for two reasons. The first is that just because someone's not talented doesn't mean that they can't give good advice. The second is that Joe says some things that are so stupid they're funny.

Top that, Bunky. </font>[/quote]Uh, that sprite is actually not very good. Avoid using the colors on the MSPaint toolbar besides black and white. You actually managed to use black wrong. You put a darker color inside a lighter outline, and made some parts of the sprite shaded in one color, and others in more colors. Don't worry, though, it's still better than what Sean can make. Sean, recolors suck.

And yeah, Sean, if your sprites are more or less just recolors, and everybody's saying they suck and there's no effort put in them, it should be quite obvious what the major problem is.

It doesnt matter, mine is alot better then your's, get over it! BTW why is the reason you do recolors and dont say " i have computer truobles" because that excuse is so over used its not funny.

Along with "I only have MS Paint."

Out of those edits, the poorest has to be the Abu and the Peach holding a.....green thing.

On Abu, you just turned his hat balck. That's it.

On Peach, you just put a green thing on there that doesn't even make it worthwhile.

The Sonic recolor/slight edit isn't too bad. At least you've got your sprite now.

It's because you suck. Joe wins because he actually did something with his. Sure, it only has one pose and it doesn't have shading and he made mistakes, but at least he did something.

That would be like having Joe coming in fifth out of ten people in a race of some sort and saying that you're better because you didn't race at all.

What? How does me having computer troubles so I have to change my sprites every time it crashes have to do with this?

and the reason I do recolors is because I don't see any reason to change my sprites, they're fine the way the are, but everyone has to ***** and moan that "they're lazy and horrible"

And I only did the sonic sprite, which has shading, I did the hair(which wasn't much) the clothes(until patrick changed them)

the rest is patrick's work. Not mine.

And if I could really have it my way, i would just pick out a few sprites and just make a comic, because I like comic making alot better than making sprites

One question:

Why does everyone give such a big deal about using unedited sprites from a game and giving them a main character's name?

If using sprites from shy guy kingdom is called "stealing" then you'd be banned, I'd be banned, pretty much 95% of the forum would be banned.

Well, if you aren't talented enough to make a decent new sprite I guess you'll have to resort to using a sprite ripped from a game without editing.
