I posted the first comic in the one-shots thread, but it didn't get any responses.

I'm continuing it here.

Comic1

Comic2

Usage of the FF1 sprites combined with real-life pictures, delusional perverted mages, and second-rate adventurers? Why, it's almost like IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE.

I give you props for the mirror and sprite manipulation, text bubbles, and arrangement of jokes. But the jokes themselves weren't good enough. (They would have been better if I hadn't already seen ones almost exactly like it in 8-bit.)

Perhaps if you can make it really funny people won't care. Compared to the other crap in this forum, the "other" joke may have been acceptable, but you really need to get cracking if you want this comic to be truly worth reading.

(And please, stay away from the "obviously done in MS paint" look. Try to use a gradient or two whenever you get the chance.)

I'm not so sure about some of those backgrounds, especially the first panel of Comic 1. Other than that, rockin'. I definitely agree with Glyph on the sprite manipulation; good job.

Not bad. The first comic's backgrounds weren't that good, as Dylan pointed out, but the second comic was better. Maybe I should start USING that rating scale I made...

This is HILARIOUS! These jokes are my style! Fast and slightly twisted, but not gross. Heh, I'd love to see more, SERIOUSLY...I haven't had a good laugh in a while now. I'm so sleepy, but someone gimmie some links to hilarious comics...I remember some Mega Man comics from way back when...I can't remember them now...

"I ain't seen it, it's new to me!"- Charles Manson from Family Guy.

It's a quote to remember. But anyway, I'll just use Google to find some. No one's probably got any links to those kinds of comics anyways.

Actually, we all probably know all kinds of comic sites out there. Maybe I'll talk to LvK about a sticky when he gets back from... wherever... he's gone.

Anyway, try 8-bit theatre.

The VFBLOSC is probably the biggest list of sprite comics out there. You can find pretty much any kind of comic you're looking for here. But for some reason, it's missing this topic.

Alright, ask and ye shall recieve I guess. Thanks for the sites, I'll check 'em out. But like I said, there was this bad ass Mega Man site, using all kinds of different stuff. It was really well done IMO.

Anyways, thanks again.

Can it be? I Really Hate Pokemon is no longer banned? Sorry for hijacking this old thread, but I thought I'd never see you again. Been a while, hasn't it?

Jumi, you doof, there's no sprite patrol checking every forum every hour to add to the list. If you want your comic on there you're going to have to ask the guy.

I found the Mega Man site I was talking about, it's hilarious. BTW, sorry, I don't now how to make it all pretty and compact so here. Trust me, if you like Mega Man and have a sense of humor, you gotta go here:

yeah bob and george does rock, though you should probably check out MS paint masterpeices and Plagues Misadventures on their sub-comic list.

I went back to the first comic last night and read a bunch. Man, it's funny but, the actual handdrawn Bob and George, some cave man looking thing, is retarded, IMO.

But yeah, I'll check that stuff out too.

I know, Jumi.

I read all the way from the introduction of Ran the other day, just for the heck of it. It had its moments. I think it's biggest problem is that it doesn't know when to stop and do something else.
