ok, me and my bud Yoshiman made a comic called ACC comixs, ACC stands for Animal Crossing Community.com, its another site we go to, Im gonna post the comics and rate them I guess...Im new to the sprite comic thing, so dont think there the greatest comic ever, oh, one more thing, comics that have black borders are mine, ones without black borders, are Yoshimans, so yeah

ACC Comix issue #0 - Intro - yeah, this isnt hilarious, but its just an intro

ACC Comix issue #1 - The Bar - you may notice at the last 3 panels, the building looks differnt then the last, I learned how to make it the same stucture soon after, so they will be better in the future

ACC Comix issue #2 - New Ideas - this is yoshimans so I really have no comment

ACC Comix issue #0 - Halloween Special - no comment again, but I do like this issue alot

ACC Comix issue #3 - The Adventure Begins! - I know this one isnt as funny as the other ones, I did try to put laughs in there, but also get to the point of this issue, us visting marios world

comments by you now I guess, yoshiman is making the next issue and Ill post it soon...when he gets done <_< >_>

Ummm...

Oh, man...

Nope, it isn't really that funny.

Yoshiman's head getting stuck in the castle was amusing, but not THAT amusing.

Please, if you want your comic to go anywhere, have it make sense and actually try to be funny, please?

It's a nice start, though.

Uh... why are you trying to stop him anyway?
And fake stabbing people isn't really going to stop them from doing things anyway.

You have to fake shoot them!
(No, no, just kidding!)

No, it really is one lazy edit. All you did was make him completly black, then added stuff to him. BIG WHOOP.

Um... yeah. I can understand if you're new and all, but the guy's right. Recolors aren't really good for comics at all. You should try edits or originals. Swapping palettes just cheapens your comic. Now, don't take it the wrong way, just take my advise. It might improve your comic.

You can make excuses all day, but it won't improve your comic.

Hmmm... First off. If you want to make an original sprite, you would first have to draw it out on paper. Then, using your drawing as a guideline, you would have to recreate it on screen in paint or whatever it is you're using. I'd suggest doing your sprite in pieces first then putting them together like a puzzle. This is also a handy method if you're trying to do animations. (Check my thread: Hello Again! I'm Still Alive!; you'll notice the sprite sheets I have made have what appear to be spare parts as well as their finished work).
To make a proper edit sprite, you must take a sprite rip and alter it enough (and convincing enough) to make it look different, but not so much that it strays from the sprite's style. For example: you could take that Sonic sprite and alter it so that it doesn't look like Sonic. Altering his appearance does wonders. You could reshape his entire head, give him a new outfit, and think up of an actual name that doesn't sound ridiculous. The more you alter, the more different it will become.
So, you see, practice makes perfect! Don't beat yourself up for not knowing something, go out and learn it! If you keep at it, you will improve, eventually.
