Calling all Heroes and Villains!

I've just been wondering recently: What would the response be if I were to start a City of Heroes screenshot-based comic?

If I can get enough help with it, I'm thinking of starting one up.

So put up your votes people.

Also, if you're interested in helping out, there are a variety of in and out of game positions that could be done.

In-game is rather obvious: you would be either a character taking part in the story, an uninvolved character that would act as a cameraman, or someone just along to make the story go smoother (i.e. teleporting new characters around for shoots, sidekicking characters of lower level so they don't die, etc.). You would, of course, need a copy of the game, a good graphics processor for photographers, and a stable schedule we can all game at.

Out-of-game is a little less obvious: I may have creativity out the butt, but even I'm kind of at a loss for a story some time. We'll need writers. We'll also need Photoshop ninjas. Not just people to add BIFF! and POW! but also people who can clean up raw screenshots and make them look purty. If there's more special effects, we'll need those drawn in.

I can handle the actual placing of the shots in the panels, and all the text-setting.

So put your vote down. If you're really interested, PM me or reply to this thread with details. In-game will require a typical play schedule for you. Out of game won't require much at all except that you either can write, or you have some degree of Photochop proficiency.

That sounds kickass!

But alas, it is a game I don't own. T.T Maybe you should try advertising this to people outside of VGF. It'd be much more likely to happen then.

I'd advertise it on the official CoH forums, but those are filled with smacktards and people I don't know, and can't scream at through PMs if they don't show for a shoot.

I can help outside, though probably not very well.

There isn't much I could do, really... Storywriter, maybe?

Nope. The one comic you saw was a one-shot, specifically made for a Comic Book Creator contest held by PlayNC.

This one would be different altogether, most likely without American Prime as a character, unless he's really well-liked.
