But if no one gives you criticism, it's likely that you'll never improve.

1) The sprites are no more than simple MSPaint drawings. I've seen you put a decent amount of effort into a project; you should do that for all of your comics/sprites.
2) Way too much blank space. You need to keep the sprites closer to each other and crop away any unneeded space.
3) The sprites are rather large. They need to be made smaller for wider use.

Let's see...
Stun/Laser/Phaser gun
Spaceship/Flying Saucer
Force Field generator
High tech buildings/cities

Look in your favorite Sci Fi movies, tv shows, and books. You'll find something.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm afraid everyone's advice is right. I'd base the size off of 16 pixels being about 4-6 feet.
