Boot Camp

You may or may not have heard of an application for a Mac called Boot Camp (probably not because I highly doubt there are many Mac users here). Anyway, it's an application for a Mac which would allow it to run the Windows XP operating system, which in turn would allow a Mac user, such as myself, to run Windows programs and games on my Mac. My only question is, if anyone here has had any experience with it, how easily is it to work and configure, and will it bog down my computer at all?

accually it shouldnt bog ur comp down at all, you many notice a change in speed (but for the worse) only because you are running windows, but there shouldnt be that much of a change in speed, its a little complicated but if you have some printed manuals from the internet it may help you use bootcamp. plz notify me if i have been any help.

There'd only be a slight delay at boot. Not drop in performance, since you're only using one OS at a time and AFAIK you have to restart to access the other one.

I use parallels on my Mac laptop. I find it better than bootcamp cuz I can run both operating systems at the same time if i want to.

Wouldn't there be a slight increase in seek time? I mean, I thought there was in general just with the more space is used on your HD. XP takes up a lot of space and uses a different filing system than OS-X.

It's been almost a year since I posted this topic. I have long since used Boot Camp to duo boot my computer. I think you can lock this topic now.
