So....Portal.

Bit confused by the ending, but a great game.

love portal! been playing it for a little while now and beat it a second time just a little bit ago.
and now I can explain the ending for those who have beaten it. DO NOT HIGHLIGHT UNLESS YOU HAVE BEATEN PORTAL.
Spoiler Below
okay, when you defeat GLaDOS and end up on the pavement outside it is revealed that the computer has many back-ups of itself (along with a not burned companion cube for those worried about it's demise) with a cake. anyway, this means that GLaDOS, like she says in her song, is still alive. making it open for a portal 2.

hopefully in portal 2 we can find out how this new series ties in with Half-life, perhaps a 2-part crossover with part one showing the half-life side of the crossover and part 2 showing the portal side.

Arrow I LOVE YOU WEIGHTED COMPANION CUBE

Nah, I like it as a slim game. There's this obsession with armchair game design where people just want to add more stuff; the best games are ones where there's no crap left to remove. This brings me to Portal. It's a short game, but it is a sweet game. There's only two characters (arguably four if you stretch the definition), but it's still a compelling story.

My workmate brought it a few days ago, he has highly praised it since then. May borrow it from him first.

The turrets (rocket and shooting), and the cake are characters too, you know.

And let's not forget our mysterious benefactor.
