| Apparently I'm a mod? Join Date: May 2001 Location: LEGITIMATE BUSINESS Gender: Posts: 13,208 Thanks: 236 Thanked 1,237 Times in 659 Posts | ... Little help here? Soooo... I guess I somehow screwed up my internet connection on my computer. For some reason, the signal won't go through as my connection is eternally attempting to acquire a network address. I've already tried the IPConfig /release and /renew deal, but with no luck. I've also attempted manual configuration, but that gets me stuck at obtaining a DNS which then stops there. I'm guessing it may not be a virus as I did not only a virus scan, but a HijackThis! scan as well. Nothing odd came up that I could tell. It's possible that since I recently updated the firmware in our router so I could play Smash online and I haven't restarted my computer since, my computer could be ignoring the LAN cable from our router as it is still used to the old settings. Any idea here? |

Possibly could be due to a static IP (if you set up your PC with one), but I can't be sure of it. I assume you've rebooted the router and PC? |
