The ultra-hyped Scout update

Well what are your thoughts on this?

Personally, scout update really doesn't do that much for me, since I lack the proper computer to play a scout. It seems that in order to play a scout, you must drink several espressos followed by a Monster and then jab on the movement keys and the space bar enough times to open a portal into another dimension. Since this game is already lulling me into a sleep fixed only by the screamers, micspammers, and all the guns, I don't have the necessary reflexes and my computer's old anyways so *shrugs*. More power to the scouts, it'd at least be nice to see the scouts actually having purposes outside of the capture-the-nodes maps. (The one thing I'd like is a leash. Hold still for just TWO SECONDS while I heal you so you can stop tapping "SOS" in morse code with the medic key...Demomen and Soldiers, you too.)

Have fun with your scouts, guys. *Shrugs* Still yet to have that much fun that wasn't destroyed within half a minute by a griefer with this game...

Search for servers that do not include:
Instant respawn
24/7 one map
Alltalk
(You can do this in the server browser with the Tags option)

Learn about the mute option in the main menu for mic people.

As for the update itself, I think it's pretty awesome. I play Scout like a highly mobile spy, so the Force-A-Nature will help a lot for ambushes.

Wow, no Meet the Team video? Screw the huge update, that's the only thing I was looking for.

Kargath, my mute list is longer than my friend's list. Especially since at least half of them were angry drunks.

Scout update makes life annoying as a Pyro. After smacking my computer into running TF2, I quickly found flying baseballs were everywhere and anyone who wasn't scout died a horrific, bloody death filled with Scout catchphrases.

Let me google that for you

There is griefing, mostly hilarious though. I would personally pause to laugh at the absurdity of the situation if I got hit by it.

Hopefully everyone starts going back to playing their other classes. The game wouldn't be any fun if everyone's just playing scout.

All these scouts helped me get my final medic achievement for the Ubersaw.

Yeah, it made it easy for me to set multiple scouts on fire too.

Myself, I'm new to the PC TF2, so I'm slowly earning the achievements to actually use the cool stuff.

unfortunately none of the unlocks are that good of a trade-off

sandman is bad because it removes double-jump

bonk! is useless because it lasts for 3 seconds, and you can't shoot or cap intel/points

force-a-nature is the only marginally useful one

I'm surprised nobody caught this.

- Spies can now control which weapon the enemy team sees them holding. Hitting the "last disguise" key while disguised updates the disguise to show the Spy's currently held weapon

force-a-nature seems really good though, unless the knockback doesn't knock you into the air

the knockback is pretty ****, it pushes your opponents back so far that your second shot does like 5 damage

also the triple jump doesn't stack with momentum

Bonk looks great for my playstyle (I play Scout like an extremely fast spy).

I caught that, but glossed over it because the Spy is the only class that I'm completely inept with.

Kind of why I'm not logging in for a little while. Usually takes about two weeks before things start to settle down. Though I would imagine teams filled with Scouts isn't nearly as bad as teams filled with Pyros.
