My friend recently introduced me to this game and I'm hooked (I know, "late to the party"). I play Terran (poorly). Anybody else play? Also, no Zerg rush jokes. |

I wasn't much good at it, but there were a few memorable games. My only victory was when I just started pumping out siege tanks and leapfrogging them to my friend's zerg base. I built some goliaths once he sent two or three mutalisks after my army =/ |

I'm pretty sure different keys will work with different copies. |

It's a sad, terrible possibility that I refuse to acknowledge until it's nearly out (aka they still haven't announced the system requirements). |

If I did get it, I might only be able to play it occasionally, on a friend or relative's computer. |

"People who don't have the awesomest computers but still desperately need to play SC2". We can be the PWDHTACBSDNTPSC2. |

Does anyone know if the new Battle.net app fixed the router/packet issues with Starcraft? SD and I have been playing online over the VPN app, Hamachi, but I don't think the version of Hamachi that was compatible with SC is accepted by their servers, anymore. |

Blizzard spent years tuning the balance on it, and it runs on anything that Windows 98 can run on. Can't say that I've played a lot of RTS games, but I'm hard pressed to think about something good that a newer game has that Starcraft doesn't. The ones I can think about are max army size, number of simultaneous selected units, and better pixel resolutions. I think the biggest turn-off is that I'm too used to 2D sprites versus 3D models -- I disliked Warcraft III because all of the units and buildings looked too similar. |

I couldn't play it after a while because Battle.net was flooded with people that straight out annihilated anyone remotely new or rusty to the game. Warcraft III was kind of lost on me because I realized playing it that Blizz wasn't sure what they were trying to do. They were sort of going for a RTS with Diablo elements, but they somewhat missed that mark. Dawn of War II actually got it right, and it handles it on an appropriate scale (limited squads, not hundreds of people). | |
