(Did you know people actually weren't dry-humping Morrowind, like how people weren't blow-jobbing 3rd edition) So thus they either decided it wasn't worth it without a 5th edition for the trend to follow, or they just thought it was better to wait for a 5th installment. Especially since there are 4 or 5 people who like Elder Scrolls for the sake of it being Elder Scrolls...like how there are maybe 4 or 5 D&D fans in existence who don't scorn the existence of another edition and demonize its fans. |

But I like Morrowind more than Oblivion, even though Oblivion's technically better in nearly every way. Did you play Daggerfall first? I get the sense that the initial wave of wonder you have when playing your first Elder Scrolls game is a huge factor in determining which you like best. If you played Morrowind first then I just don't know, I can't compare the two myself. |

And did you know that there were actually people who said MORROWIND was dumbing the genre down and consolizing it before more people started dry-humping it? it's just like D&D! |

I see civilians moonwalking, enemies getting stuck behind one pixel of corner/wall/doorframe, hit invisible walls, see enemies get stuck behind invisible walls, see enemies get stuck behind something on the ground, get meleed by someone with a dagger on the other side of the room, spike someone on the other side of the room.... |

"Oblivion was massively popular, as was Morrowind. We are well aware of this and are not abandoning the Elder Scrolls series." Bethesda also trademarked "Skyrim" last year. That also happens to be the name of the Nords' homeland. |

Those all seem more interesting. (For those who don't know, those are the homes of the Khajiit, Argonians, and High Elves respectively. And I have a particular soft spot for Khajiit.) |

Copyrighting Skyrim doesn't necessarily mean that the next game will be in Skyrim, though. It would certainly be an interesting setting if they pull it off well. |

| Senior Member | Tamriel Rebuilt is recreating Hammerfell the way the orginal Oblivion staff would have it if it were an official expansion. They've also released Stirk for Oblivion and some killer expansions for Morrowind. Check out their Hammerfell objects and map. silgrad.com | oblivion.at is very much on par with that community as well and has been working vigorously on recreating mainland Morrowind for Oblivion. Both modding communities are still going strong it would seem. Tamriel-rebuilt is apparently recreating the entire world it would seem as well. This is probably the next best thing if Bethesda is currently halting working on the Elder Scrolls Series. Remember though that Bethesda is loyal to their fans. When their fans were upset that Fallout 3 actually "Ends" they released an expansion that lets you play after the end of the game.
