Gender: Posts: 41 Thanks: 2 Thanked 2 Times in 2 Posts | DOOM, anyone? ![]() Discuss the awesomeness! My collection? Glad you asked! =D Ultimate Doom - (1995 - Apple Macintosh) The original 3 episodes of 1993 DOOM plus a bonus episode 4 Doom II (1994 - Apple Macintosh) The sequel to DOOM. 32 levels, new monsters and a new gun. Doom II Master Levels (1994 - Apple Macintosh) Basically what it says. 21 really hard levels for Doom II Final Doom (1996 - Apple Macintosh) Basically Doom 3 but its 2 new 32 levels for Doom II only it isn't a expansion. You don't need Doom II to play it and its a lot harder. Also, higher screen resolution ftw! DOOM (1995 - Sony Playstation) A collection of levels from Ultimate Doom and Doom II with a few new levels, split into two episodes. Ultimate Doom and Doom II Final DOOM (1996 - Sony Playstation) Some levels from Doom II Master levels, TNT and Plutonia. TNT and Plutonia are the 2 episodes from Final Doom. It says 32 levels on the CD case but there is only really 30... and no secret levels to find so not much reply value. Blarg! Doom 64 (1997 - Nintendo 64) A Doom game by Midway. Basically new graphics and 32 new levels with sounds from the Playstation versions of Doom. The music is by the same guy. I think it is picking up where Final Doom ended. Doom 3 (2005 - Apple Macintosh) Came out for Windows in 2004 and Microsoft Xbox and Apple Macintosh in 2005. It is a retelling of Doom and has pretty good graphics (a little old looking now) and scares me. Its pretty fun =D Btw. All of these I stole from my dad's collection of games in the attic xD EDIT: I was going to add a pic but apparently I need to have 15 posts first. Hopefully I can add it later O.O Last edited by Ghost Princess; 02-21-2011 at 07:42 PM. |

Ever hear of ZDoom? It's fun playing Doom/Doom II online with other players. I've been thinking about setting up a game sometime. |

Do you wanna play with me sometimes? ^^ |

Maybe we can get some other members interested and set up a co-op game sometime. Edit: Actually, Skulltag would probably be best for Doom multiplayer. Well, I have never Bootcamped before buuut I s'pose I could. How does one go about multiplayer with Zdoom, though? Just curious! =D Unless Skulltag has a Mac OS X port now. Been a year or so since I googled it. I use PrBoom to play single player xD |

I see it on the downloads page. I'm not sure how you do multiplayer on ZDoom. I've only done Doom online once, and it was with Skulltag. |

Having even just 5 guys running through on Nightmare mode kind of stretches the limits of Doom for coop, but we still had a good time doing it. I've been a fan of Doom since the first game, and I own all the novels. I don't own any of the more interesting variants (Doom 32x, Doom for Jaguar etc) beside Doom 64, although I have owned a few unofficial level packs that saw commercial release and an entire book dedicated to level design for the game: ![]() Hard to imagine that those pre-rendered concept pictures on the back of the D!Zone package would ever look dated, but Doom 3 put them to shame. Speaking of which, here's one of the packs I've owned, can't say I remember for sure where it went: ![]() |

Noa! =O Only difference is I am pretty sure it has the Mac OS logo on it somewhere. Anyway, whats your ST name? I was just on =D |

Don't want to reboot, so I'll have to get to digging it up later. I went and changed the D!Zone box in that post, since I realized I was talking about D!Zone 2. Whoops. Those old unofficial expansions were pretty great, even if I never played half the levels. |

I've got the WADs for Doom, Doom II, Plutonia, TNT: Evilution, Hell's Resurrection, and Hell's Resurrection 2 (I'm not sure if I've played either of the last two before). |

The server is "VGF Fun Time", if anyone is interested. The password to join is "vgfdollars". Let me know if anyone has any trouble. |

It's because of my router. Someone else will have to host the game, unless you want to wait for me to try and fix this. |

I'm between two public routers so I wouldn't be able to go through the ports (Unless most of the ports at my apartment are already open, which I completely doubt they are). |
