Steam Summer Sale 2011!

Today's big sales include Shogun 2 ($29.99), Braid ($2.49)(!), CoD Black Ops ($40.19), a bunch of GTA games including GTA3, San Andreas, and Vice City ($7.50), and KotoR ($2.49). I won't be buying them because I took advantage of yesterday's to buy the Witcher 2 and Recettear.

You'd be silly not to buy Braid if you haven't already played it. Same for Shogun 2 if you have a lot of time and you're into strategy games.

Thanks for the heads-up. Just grabbed Vice City, since I liked that game a lot and have thought about it recently.

Today we've got Magicka, Super Meat Boy, Plants vs. Zombies, and Half-Life 2 Episode 2 for ridiculously cheap. I can personally recommend Magicka, and Super Meat Boy if you don't mind being subjected to the limits of frustration.

^Spacechem is supposed to be great, stop whining. I'll take it if you don't want it.

I guess I thought you could gift games you haven't used, but now that I think about it I don't think that's actually true. Maybe you can regift or something? Whatever.

Anyway, today's big sales include Dragon Age: Origins (great game), Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

You can re-gift games if you buy the game again (like, the game you already have is in a bundle you buy).

Anyways, yay, sale! This is the first big sale since I made a Steam account. I have since bought ten or so games that I'll probably never play any time soon.

Also, if any of you bought Portal 2, there's an achievement for guiding someone who hasn't played co-op through the tutorial (Professor Portal). So... anyone want to play co-op so I can get that achievement? I will give you a hug.

Picked up Recettear, which I never heard of before, after playing the demo. Unexpectedly awesome game.

Haven't seen anything I want since then, but I'd jump on Tropico 3 and Torchlight if I didn't own them.

Anyway, Trine is on sale for two dollars. Buy it right now. Great game.

Otherwise, Fallout: New Vegas is 70% off (15 bucks), so if you liked Fallout 3, that's probably worth it. I wasn't a big fan myself, but most people were. Nothing else particularly noteworthy today.

Recettear is awesome. Never before have I been so angry at a little girl, yelling at her to get the hell out of my shop and make room for paying customers with real budgets.

Yeah, screw that little girl in Recettear. I keep apples and candy around to sell to her so she doesn't complain, but seriously, she needs to get a damn job or something.

Right. Today we have the Guild Wars trilogy for $14.99 and Deus Ex for $2.49. I grabbed Deus Ex because it's supposed to be one of the greatest games of all time and all that. Guild Wars would tempt me (the original is one of my favorite games) if I hadn't bought so many other goddamn games already. Currently on my plate are Portal 2, Recettear, The Witcher 2, Deus Ex, all the Borderlands DLC, part of Magicka + Vietnam, maybe Shogun 2 multiplayer, and possibly The Void (if I can work up the courage). Plus I finally found a good private Minecraft server. Good thing I don't really have much else to do with my life right now.

It's a horrible time to be broke.

Granted Deus Ex IS very tempting

Also if my freaking Asus would decide to work so I could play some of this

Tropico was one of my favorites all time, so I was pretty much buying Tropico 3 regardless. They did a nice job with it, though.

Stupid little girl. She gets more money eventually, but she's still cheap.

Conversely, Alouette is awesome; it is happy days whenever she walks into the store. I once sold a ring to her at over 300% markup; more than 100k.

For $2.49, I'll bite on Terraria. Looks interesting enough on Youtube.
