English Country Tune

English Country Tune - Review | PC Gaming | GamingDaily

I just reviewed a little indie puzzler called English Country Tune. Here's a little excerpt of it;

Quote:
There is barely anything that’s “traditional” about English Country Tune. Perhaps the two most traditional things are the main menu screen and using the arrow keys for movement. After that, you’re ****ed.
If you've played the game I'm keen to find out what you think of it. If you haven't played it, you can watch the trailer and/or download the demo from the official site:

IGF Nominees are up and this game is up for Excellence in Design. I watched the trailer and I can imagine it becoming incredibly difficult very easily like you said in your article. Looks good though despite also looking pretty daunting.

How good is the camera at being reliable? A game like this would fail pretty hard if the puzzles were rock solid and you had a dodgy camera waiting to screw you over.

The camera's not really an issue, you can generally see where you're about to go but the puzzles I've played are not timed so you can play through them at your own pace. If the camera were slower to react and I had to get a puzzle done within a certain time it might be a different matter.

I enjoy puzzlers. I'll download the demo and get back to you with my thoughts on it! :3
