Alan Wake's PC version finally releases in Feb

Alan Wake Arrives For PC In February, Won’t Use Games For Windows Live | Kotaku Australia

It will be Steam-compatible, not GfWLive, in a smart move by Remedy. I've been interested in the game since it was announced, but, not owning or wanting a 360, I had been fully intending on purchasing the PC version originally announced.

It's almost a pleasant surprise that the title's been reinstated for PC release, although I can't lend an older game any goodwill as an older release with a late port. Still, the news of Steam compatibility is unexpected and welcome.

It took so long because it was a timed exclusive for the XBOX.

Yeah, I'm aware, although there wasn't really any good info on whether or not the PC version was cancelled outright.

The tech demo version was canned, and now we're getting the port of the XBOX game.
