Actually, I remember it was either exactly or around June 18 (my birthday), because I heard it on the radio. Oh, and no one answered my question yet. Who still likes McCain? |

I do agree that McCain wasn't really Kerry's first choice, but once Saddam Hussein announced that he wasn't interested (due to legal matters), he had to pick someone. Just think what a Kerry-Hussein ticket would've done for the Democrats. For example, no one can dispute that Saddam has the military experience to take on Bush's strong area of national defense. And just ask the Kurds about his excellent, Tough on Crime record. As for fighting domestic terrorists, he's the perfect man to stand an inch from the White House. Just think about this now. Al Qaeda is in Afghanistan, al Qaeda is in the United States, and al Qaeda is in Spain. But what's the one country where Democrats are now telling us al Qaeda had no presence? That's right, Iraq. He also has the foreign policy experience to lead America into the 21st century. His excellent record in bribing France in the Oil for Food Scandal at the UN shows he knows how to win over our allies. Since the number one priority is apparently to win over France, that alone says it all, right? Now if we can just get that foreign birth amendment passed... Is that it? Yes, I heard that one personally, as well. That's right, McCain, a man everyone concedes is honest and straight-up, supports the friggin' President. What's funny is most people try to sweep this away as an 'unfortunate viewpoint.' I'd still rather have McCain than Bush, but I don't harbor fantasies that they'd be much different. McCain would just be a better speaker. Trust me, if McCain won and became President, he'd be mud with the Democrats within a week, as he is still a good Republican, as much as they like to imagine he's on their side. Now this is a man with his head on straight. Hello, Philip. Where did you come from? [ July 07, 2004, 01:01 AM: Message edited by: Ditto McCloaker, Nintendo Loyalist ] |

Well, at least Ditto has a buddy now. Although he knows little about you. Funny that he called Philip a man... |

I need a Kerry-Hussein bumper sticker. During his trial, Saddam Hussein said, and I quote, 'Bush is the real criminal.' I'm telling you, this guy is perfect for the Democrats. In fact, he's a moderate. He opposed the war in Iraq and wanted to give UN inspections more time, unlike that jerk George Bush. You know, we took his country, killed this guys kids, found him in the hole in the ground, and put him on trial. And I still have to wonder who hates Bush more: Saddam Hussein or the Democrat Party? Back on subject, I don't like the guy; McCain is a statist. I just think it's funny that the other guy from the 'Dream Ticket' is doing ads for Bush (the speech wasn't specifically for the ad, but they got his permission to use it). |

No one will miss your trolling [explicit delete]. Of course you don't like McCain. When you're up Bush's rear and think FDR was the worst American president, obviously you don't have much common sense. |

FDR was also a statist, and he broke the two-term precedent set by George Washington. I'm fine with his WWII leadership. Aren't you the one worried about the Patriot Act and those terrorists over in Cuba? It'd be interesting to get your thoughts on the Japanese Americans he rounded up and threw in jail. Yes, FDR broke the precendent by taking over the office with force . The PEOPLE (well, the electoral college, specifically) kept him in because changing leaders during that horrible time wouldn't have been too smart.FDR threw the Japanese in camps (did he actually order that?) and tried to pack the courts. Washington, Jefferson, and many more owned slaves. Yet somehow none of that counteracts the good they did for the country, especially in FDR's case. |
