Sky News has gained access to a young people's camp in Gaza, where the only lesson taught is how to kill Israelis.

Sky's Middle East Correspondent Emma Hurd said the camp, at an undisclosed location, had been set up to drill children in the ways of war.

The recruits, some of whom are dwarfed by their AK-47 assault rifles, are taught how to carry out ambushes.

They are also made to do an obstacle course, crawling under barbed wire and leaping through hoops of fire while their instructors fire live bullets overhead.

Hurd witnessed one training session in which a militant, dressed as a Jewish settler complete with yarmulke skull cap, was ambushed in his car.Gunmen pulled the "settler" from his vehicle and Hurd was told if this had been real he would have been killed.

She spoke to two 10-year-old recruits.

One of them, Mustafa, said he wanted to shoot down Israeli aircraft and blow up tanks.

The camp is run by a group called the Popular Resistance Committee, which said the next generation of Palestinians needed to know how to fight the Israeli "occupation".

The boys even "graduate" at the end of their training, receiving a certificate from the camp commander.

Thats messed up.

No, I believe they start at 18. In Israel, I believe military service is mandatory, which is understandable since every country that surrounds them is hostile to them. I remeber reading that men do 3 years of mandatory service, and women do 2 years.

How about this, go over to your ancestor's homeland centuries after they left and then say you have a rightful claim to the land. You'd get the same reaction. Most of the problems in the region have much to do with the British promises to the insurgants during the first world war. Their assistance against teh Ottomon Empire got them various kingdoms, except these weren't really divided up by natural borders (Ie: Rivers, mountains, etc). There really was no need to if they were mostly held by the same family. Revolutions and wars changed that, and after the British gave up on the Palestinian/Israeli problem due to increasing acts of terrorism after WWII from BOTH sides, the mess spiraled into what it is today.

Israel starts at 18, and, yes, it is mandatory. I learned this when I went to a Jewish camp years ago, and one of the counselors was a former sergeant.

At least they're not CHILDREN.

But Israel's millitary law is less messed up in my opinion. 18's better than 10.

I do wish that someone would do stuff about all this Middle East stuff, but since the US won't give a damn unless they get oil out of it and the UN won't really do anything either...

We (United States) had 10 year olds regularly fighting in every war from the revolution to the civil war, as well as non-adults (16&17 mainly) fight in every war between the civil war and WWII. How is that different?

Israel using a missile, killing 4 people, one of whom is the leader of a palestinian orginization that sponsors, supports, promotes, and has a branch dedicated to terrorism and killing israelis...

Yeah, I think the bus attack is worse.
