7:56 PM: News about Jeb Bush… apparently he is in Florida and not with his brother, like he was in 2000. 4 minutes until polls close in a ton of states.

8:00 PM: Polls closing… Florida is too close to call. Illinois is for Kerry. New Jersey is for Kerry. Tennessee is for Bush. Massachusetts is Kerry. Maryland is for Kerry. Connecticut is Kerry. Alabama is Bush. Oklahoma is Bush. Maine is Kerry. Delaware is Kerry. DC is Kerry. Missouri is too early to call. Pennsylvania is too early to call. New Hampshire is too early to call. Mississippi is too early to call.

8:13 PM: Obama has won a senate seat in Illinois. He had a great speech at the DNC. Apparently, Maine might go 3 Kerry and 1 Bush.

8:20 PM: Bush has taken North Carolina.

8:30 PM: Arkansas is too early to call. Bush has taken South Carolina.

8:42 PM: Bush has taken Virginia. Bush: 102, Kerry 77

8:51 PM: My sister just left to go back to college. She came up from Salisbury, Maryland to vote. When she voted she said they embarrassed her by saying “Amy XXXXXXXXX is now voting, for her first time!”

The CBC (Canadian Network) is giving Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, and Mississippi to Bush

They gave Kerry New York and Rhode Island

This is early because they don't delay results until the polls close like the American networks are.

Obama winning should've been expected, especially considering the ******* he was up against.

The CBC is showing Ohio spilt right down the middle for the time being: 50% for Bush, 49% Kerry. Flordia is leaning Bush for bush at 56%. Kerry has 43%. There still isn't enoguh info to call it though. Colorado also voted down their ammendment to introduce the vote-splitting thing used in Maine.

^Maine and Nebraska split by districts, Colorado wanted to split by popular percentage of the state.

8:56 PM: Allegheny County in PA is extending their poll time to 9:30. A few other counties are extending their times too. 4 minutes from polls closing in a ton of states.

9:00 PM: Texas is for Bush, New York is for Kerry, Kansas is for Bush, Nebraska is for Bush, Rhode Island is for Kerry, South Dakota is for Bush, North Dakota is for Bush, Wyoming is for Bush, Colorado is too close to call, New Mexico is too close to call, Michigan is too early to call, Minnesota is too early to call, Wisconsin is too early to call, Arizona is too early to call, Louisiana is too early to call, Florida is too close to call, Ohio is too close to call. Pennsylvania is too early to call, Arkansas is too early to call, New Hampshire is too early to call, and Mississippi is too early to call. On a side note, MSNBC messed up the Louisiana graphic, showing Nader up against Bush.

9:26 PM: Louisiana is Bush, Mississippi is Bush.

9:30 PM: An interesting thing is coming out in the electoral votes. Maine and Nebraska might give votes to both candidates.

10:00 PM: Polls are about to close in 4 states. Unofficially, my cousin in Sussex County, Judson Bennett, lost hid bid for County Council by 12 votes, 8746 to 8734.

Utah is Bush, Iowa is too close to call, Nevada is too close to call, Montana is too early to call, Florida is too close to call with 77% of votes in, Ohio is too close to call, Missouri is too close to call, Colorado is too close to call, New Mexico is too close to call, Pennsylvania is too early to call. Michigan is too early to call, Minnesota is too early to call, Wisconsin is too early to call, Arizona is too early to call, Arkansas is too early to call, and New Hampshire is too early to call.

CNN gives Missouri to Bush as well.

All states have gone the same way as they did last year so far.

10:07 PM: Arkansas is Bush. It still is too early to call the election, but I’m still optimistic that Bush is going to win it.

10:16 PM: Missouri is Bush. I was worried for a little bit about this one, because the first results showed it swaying blue, but NBC has it firmed up for Bush. Barack Obama is about to give his victory speech. Regardless of party affiliation, this guy rules.
