During the night I will be updating the header with my own electoral map as I hear who has won what state. I will also be keeping a running total of electoral votes. |

While Florida is showing itself as a champion that could repeat, I think Ohio might make a decent run at it. |

| For whatever reason, I don't feel like making a topic of my own, so... http://www.angelfire.com/on4/superb1x/TPMC59.html My take on this whole presidential battle. I made it around two weeks ago. ![]() Origin of Entria | |

A few side notes to the electoral college. Colorado has an ammendment on the ballot to split electoral votes, which will count for this election if it passes. So Bush could get 5 electoral votes, and Kerry 4 (Colorado has 9 votes). Nebraska and Maine divide their votes by the overal winning candidate gets a couple votes, and then whoever wins each district gets a vote. So far, Nebraska and Maine have yet to split their votes. Another side note to the electoral college is that it the past, electors could vote for whoever they wanted. Now, there are laws in about 35 states that require electors to vote for the winner of their state. This kind of defeats the safeguard of the electoral college, but that's just my opinion.

One week there in the fall and you will not be complaining about how windy it is where you live unless you see a twister or hurricane closing in on you. Out of curiosity, what country do you live in Koga? And Link47, you said that Colorado has 9 electoral votes, but how come your map says it has 8? ![]() [ November 01, 2004, 06:41 PM: Message edited by: Thowachairatmi ] |

And Rhode Island has so many people because it is one of the original colonies, and it's on the coast. Wyoming on the other hand, is all empty farmland, with nothing but cows. There are some roads in Wyoming that are so empty there are no speed limits.
