In an election between the current prime minister (forget his name) and opposition leader Viktor Yushenko, the prime minister got 49%, and Yushenko got 46%. The results seem clear enough, but the problem is that the prime minister had widespread voter fraud occuring. Many voting places were vandalized on election day, and many people voted multiple times. After the results were announced, protesters flocked to Kiev to protest. Many world leaders, including Colin Powell, have condemned this election, and even the Ukrainian parliment said this election was invalid. Many people are calling for a new vote to be held. This dispute threatens to split the country, and is taking its toll on the economy there. Protests continue in Kiev, days after the election. On a side note, if you see a "before and after" picture of Viktor Yushenko, he really has changed. He went from being a good looking guy to looking like a zombie. One rumor is bad sushi, but many believe it is the work of poison or results of being exposed to a biological or chemical agent. |

Even if they did, they'd have to deal with inaccurate results like we do. The only difference is that theirs only tick off Ukrainians, as opposed to half the world like our screwed up election(s) did. |
