Iight, y'all all know about the TO Monday Night Football skit, and the Janet Jackson Superbowl thang.

But here's my problem with it.

They get mad cause sex is being implied on a "family program" but what about these damned Viagra, Cialis, etc. commercials, along with Bud and Miller Light commercials.

You say you want to prevent kids from being introduced to alcohol, and to stay abstinent, but the most showed ads during "family shows" or better yet, "basic cable channels" (CBS, ABC, etc.), are Alcoholic and sexual.

I wanna know what the hell America's problem is.

Go on and share

Blatant hypocracy and superiority complexes are not solely American problems.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Problems that are shared by MANKIND, not AMERICANS, alone. At least, the problems CaptHayfever is describing.

What makes you think the people who are complaining about the Janet Jackson thing aren't complaining about the commercials?

Which is true. Sorry America, but there are more important things to worry about in this country aside from whether or not your kid saw a ****ing nipple.

...Oooooo, a NIPPLE!

America's Problem? Probably lack of Viagra. That's why it's advertised so much.

The way I see it, kids are gonna find out about certain things (sex, alcohol, etc.) anyway. The reason I think it's so prevalent in society today is the fact that adults try to hide it from them so much. I don't see how the Monday Night skit garnered such attention (which is ironic, because it was played over several times over the course of that week). Yes it's relevant to the Super Bowl fiasco, but I can somewhat understand why someone would be upset about that.

...honestly, I remember WATCHING the damn halftime show and I didn't even notice when her nipple was exposed, and was dumbfounded when everyone was talking about it the next day. Erm, nevermind about that though.

Here's my view on that:

On the Janet Jackson thing: Woo-hoo. Kids saw a tit. They've seen it before, and hopefully they'll see 'em again. The show itself was, however, very racy, and no matter what Bill Clinton tells you, its basis was morally wrong.

Therein lies the problem: poor morals. America has become, as Obi-Wan would say, "a wretched hive of scum and villainry".

Thank God for those rights, though.

Let's face it: If we don't show these kids things at a young age, they are going to find out when the time is inconvenient, and they find theirself in that situation where they are having sex, drinking, smoking, or whatever they are doing. Parents job is that they need to arm the children early with knowledge, so in case those situation pops up, and they will, that they can use the strategies. Even know they may seem bizarre at times, as long as it works, the kid may dodge death that night.

But today, Parents are taken by the fact that everything is too harsh for the world, and covers the true world up with sugar coated lies. Even know the world is scary, you will have to face it sooner or later, so they need to start telling the truth. I was told for the longest time that my dog Ranger ran away when I was 10. But once I was 11, I found out dad gave the dog to a bunch of hicks for cash, who later ate him and stuff him. If they told me this a year ago, I could had gotten over the fact my dog die and was used for food for a bunch of poor people.
