Suspension? That's a bit too extreme. If it were loss of computer privilages, then it would be fairer, but suspension?

Also, noticing how this article moans about how they're restricting information, I've got one thing to say. It's called a diary. You get a notebook out, you write in it with something called a pencil (Start out mechanical if you're unsure), and you write about how ugly that kid behind you in Geography is. Or, you can just open up a Wordpad on the computer, type it there, and save it. Since they only banned the blogging sites, the kids can create a E-mail ring and send each other their opinions and such, eliminating the need of a Livejournal circle.

My two cents:

Yeah, I'd have been kicked out of the school for prior issues, anyway. Still, I'd gladly take the suspension. High School desperately needs you to believe it's as important as they claim, but actually aquiring knowledge does not go hand in hand with social restriction.

Rights of the Constitution do not apply in Private schools, especially since you sign your rights away at the beginning of the year.

Private schools are the worst thing in education since the combination of Catholic Nuns and rulers. At least in college, you're old enough to know when your instructor is trying to shove crap down your throat.

BTW, you ever been to a private high school graduation? I went to my step-sister's. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do the ceremony for 7 students, my step-sister included. My high school graduation? We did the ceremony in just under 3 hours, for almost 800 students

Make it Sunday School, especially for over 10-11 years.
