Germany & Violent Games

This is actually from last week, but I just saw it:
German gov't considers jail time for gamers - Xbox 360 News at GameSpot

Germany is thinking about outlawing violence against any humanoid fictional creatures. Like zombies. Like video game zombies. It would become a crime to play or make games like Dead Rising, Resident Evil, anything of the sort.

And remember, "Oh, Germans." ~Sarah Silverman

Gee, you'd think if Germany outlawed a game it'd be Wolfenstein 3D.

Where are these lemmings going? Not the Super Nintendo Super Shire! They know to go to Codiekitty.com now!

^Actually, they ban any use of the swastika outside of art and education. It's mentioned in the article.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It's almost too easy to use a Nazi reference in reply, so I will just say: no comment.
