Just cause you're running for president doesn't mean your brother gets military honors for being an idiot and going into Laos!

I don't see what's wrong with giving him military honors. He did face capture and torture by the enemy.

Being related to Howard Dean probably influenced the investigation, but it didn't make finding the brothet the #1 priority. That's not how the military works.

Anyway the reason it became more of a priority is that the military knew by finding him they would attract more attention towards their cause of looking for missing soldiers in Vietnam. I personally don't care they did this as long as they're looking for other dead soldiers as well.

Well, he wasn't in the Military. That is part of the problem with giving him military honors. The only reason this was news was because it was Dean's brother. It won't help out with the military's cause of finding soldiers, because this wasn't about finding soldiers.
