I have nothing against Dark types as a whole, I think they are awsome, in fact Tyranitar and Houndoom are two of my absolute favorites. The biggest problem I have, is simply the availability of the good dark types in the pokemon games. Let's look at Gold and Silver, in the entire game there was only one Dark type Pokemon you could even get your hands on before beating the elite four, and that was Umbreon. Houndour and Murkrow you had to wait all the way until you beat the elite four and went to Kanto to get them, and Sneasel and Larvitar were even worse, you had to wait until Mt. Silver to get a chance at them. And by the time you capture a Larvitar, and train it to finally evolve into a Tyranitar, the game is basically over. You have this awsome Dark type Pokemon that you really don't get a chance to really use. Things are a bit better in Ruby and Sapphire, availability wise (even though now Umbreon, Murkrow, Sneasal, Larvitar, and Houndour are all suddenly unavailable), but the movesets for most of the Pokemon given to us weren't even that impressive. Mightyena has horrible stats, Nuzleaf has a pretty crappy moveset up until lvl 50, when you finally get extrasensory, and neither of the water types could even learn Hydro Pump or any strong water-type move. I just hope the next gen has better Dark types with a better and earlier availability, that, or give us at least Houndour earlier on. |

One hit with a move its weak too, like Brick Break or Thunderpunch, and its down in a single hit. |

You state that after you obtain Tyranitar in GS there's not much left to do to prove his true power, which means that you probably don't have many friends who play Pokemon. So then you could apply that Sharpedo is very good in-game. He usually won't faint in one hit from most moves; hell even Mightyena is good. |

I always enjoyed the Stadium games much more than the Game Boy games. I only played through Silver once and then spend a lot of time perfecting my teams for each of the Stadium 2 cups. |
