Lotsa new DP stuff on Serebii today (Starters!)

http://serebii.net/index2.shtml

I'm not too thrilled with the cuteness factor of the starters this time around, TBH. Although the Penguin is adowable.

Which one will you be choosing, this time? I'm gonna choose the water one.

I like them all actually. Can't really see any problems.

Always wanted a new monkey type, fire type is okay. (Although, I'm half expecting it to evolve into part fighting)
Always wanted a Grass Tortoise, grass to me should have been the first type to give to a tortoise.
AT Last! A proper Penguin.

Probably will start with the Guin, and trade the other.

So they went with Water/Fire/Grass after all? I saw the rumoured Fighting/Dark/Psychic starters near the bottom of the page and I liked them better.

Even if they're not the starters, I hope those other ones are at least real. I want the kitty.

^Same here, I love the kangaroo one!!

Actually, I kind of like these new starters, my favorite being the water bird of course. But...why does it get the crappiest move?
Both Razor Leaf and Ember are pretty decent in the start of the game but Bubble ****ing sucks. Not even Water Gun?

Kangaroo?

I am so getting that Penguin. I hope it'll be Water/Ice when it evolves.

I chose Cyndaquil in Silver.
I chose Mudkip in Ruby.
I chose Bulbasuar in Fire Red.

So since I have purposely chosen one from each starter group in the past that means I would go with the Fire type by that pattern. However that penguin is in one famous members words "ca-ute". Hmm, it's a tough one.

Just remember that these are only some of the moves. It might still learn Water Gun.

Yeah, but if those are the first moves it will learn, the other two start out with an advantage.

Bubble's base power is 20. Ember is 40 and Razor Leaf is 55.

Bulbasaur learned Razor Leaf at 20, but Chikorita learned it at 8 as its first learned attack. So it could happen. If Bubble is the first attack that the Penguin will learn, I'll be disappointed, but I'll be really happy if it evolves into Water/Ice.

If you go to the bottom of the page, there's this picture containing a kangaroo, a cat, and the page says a rhino but I think it looks more like a triceratops. They're not the starters, but here's hoping they're real.

By the way, I never answered this; just like everyone else, I want the penguin.

EDIT: UGH, they're fake!

I just realized: Sadly, the Penguin probably won't be Water/Ice because that'd give you too large of an advantage over your rival with the grass type...

Ugh! That sucks those three closer to the bottom were fakes! That Kangaroo was awsome, and well designed, the Triceretops was sort of a neat concept of combining hard hitting normal attacks like Headbutt and Skullbasj with psychic type moves, and the dark kitty . . . well, really cats have been sort of overdone, unless it would of turned into something lion or panther-like. What a dissapointment!

None of the starters impress me very much at all. The idea of yet another 'walking on all fours' loosely based on a lizard grass-type is a dissapointment in itself, it reminds me too much of Bulbasaur and Chikorita, I personally preferred the Treeko image. The water type doesn't impress me, although at least it seems more original, maybe this time the water type will turn into the flyer? The fire-type . . . I don't really have an opinion on . . . lots of primates in the game already . . . so its not impressing me yet . . .

Just real angry about the fakes. >.<

I knew those have been fake for a while now..they went with the traditional starters. I'll probably go with the fire one as I do with every game.

The 2 player underground route, however, seems very interesting.

I'm probably going to go with Hikozaru(aka:the moonkey).

Man, those fake pokemon were pretty cool...It's a pity that they were fake.

You just have to wonder what their evolutions will look like . . . like will the monkey stay monkey-shaped, turn more into an ape, or go into another primate league altogether? Will the penguin just get bigger, or will its wings grow until it can fly? And what about the grass turtle?

The evolutions might make the entire Pokemon worth it . . .

^Maybe. But it is a Thunderzord, so it might be Electric.

^ You mean a Triple type!!! Grass/Electric/Metal. Although it could be interesting to see one poke go from a Grass to a Electric/Metal.
