How come on the anime when ash meets a new pokemon...he's confused? - VGF

Most pokemon say their own name and show up out of nowhere...yet ash is confused as heck and still has the balls to say "Whoa what is that? Better get my pokedex."

(pikachu pops out of nowhere)

Ash: Whoa what is that????? Lemme get out my pokedex so i can figure out what the heck it is!
Pokedex: This is a pikachu...if you couldn't figure that out you are a complete r-tard.

that's basically what goes on in the show most of the time...and it irritates me that they play the sounds pokemon make as being completely mysterious. Why don't people in the show realize what the pokemon are just by hearing what sounds they are making??????????????

What's really weird is that Ash will be confused about Pokemon he's actually seen before. Like he's seen Gengars, and Alakazams, and lots of other Pokemon plenty of times before, but every time he meets them again he is like 'what's that?' I know its for those who haven't watched the older episodes because for them it is the first time seeing Ash meet with Pokemon, but for continuity reasons it makes him look really bad.

Ash is a retard....but I should agree on the basis that he has done many many adventures while being 12 years old...i mean...how many good deeds and adventures has he done? Wow....i just found out he has done over 475 adventures in his being 12 years old. How do I know? Because so far 475 episodes have been created. That has to be a record or something.

Continuity is not exactly the show's strong shuit, but their basicly trying to always inclide exposition explain the Pokemon, remmber sometimes the show practicly turns into a Video instruction manuel for the Games.

I like Ash he's cool. it's the annoying people following him that bug me.
