Hitmontop has like the strangest evolution tactic ever. He's not too bad, though. My suggested moveset: Nature: Adamant Item: Leftovers Moves: Brick Break Rapid Spin Earthquake Rock Slide This one is a pretty self-explanatory all-around physical sweep. Rock Slide takes care of the Flying weakness, and the rest is basically gravy. I'm a big Brick Break fan, and it'll break Reflects that bring this guy down. Rapid Spin is there for pesky Spikes and Rocks, and EQ is just a staple physical move. Pretty good all-around guy, and his high Sp. Defense will even let him survive against some Psychics longer than usual.

| Condescending Film Jerk | Who else could they have done? Hitmonli? Hitmonjaa? Hitmonyen? Hitmonliu? "Hitmontop" sounds like the Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Get on Top." |

| I hated trying to get this guy on Silver. Also I believe that his name does have a Kung-Fu reliance. | |

How strange is it? The way to get some old pokemon evolutions in Diamond and Pearl ARE pretty strange.

I never felt any urge to get this. I'm not starting now. Its moveset differs from Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan in that it lacks most of their power moves, instead getting things like Rapid Spin. Not really worth it. Additionally, like the other Hitmons, the stats are only pretty decent. I'd rather have the flexibility of the special-punching Hitmonchan or the move power of the Hi-Jump-Kicking Hitmonlee if I was going to get one of the Hitmons. Also, it doesn't look too neat either. |

I was referring to how the punches are special, not that they use the special stat. It's a matter of weakness/resistance to me. Hitmonchan has a *lot* of flexibility from the three additional move types it gets access to in the punches. |
