Shuckle, who has the same combo, has insanely high defenses and is used as a double wall. Armaldo has a very high attack and is used as a Physical sweeper. It also has a high defense, so today you're gonna get two. SWEEPER Nature: Adamant Item: Shell Bell / Leftovers EV's: Max Attack and Speed, any remaining in Defense Moves: X-Scissor Cross Poison / Earthquake Rock Slide / Stone Edge Swords Dance This is self explanatory. Swords Dance, sweep, have fun. Cross Poison and Earthquake is up to you. Neither gain STAB, but both are powerful. I would go with Earthquake since X-Scissor already takes care of the grass types. Another option is Rock Polish, but I'm not sure what you'd substitute it for. If you don't want it, it makes an okay Swords Dance replacement. STALLER / SUPPORTER Nature: Impish Item: Leftovers EV's: Max HP and Defense, and left in Sp. Defense Moves: Rapid Spin Protect Substitute Rest This is solely a stall and support moveset. Its defense allows for some good subs, and Protect will stall for even more time. Rapid Spin is of course there for Spikes and Rocks, and Rest will let you stall even more, especially if you have a Heal Beller or Aromatherapist on hand. This would be a fun set to play around with. It sounds like it would be either someone really cool & dignified or someone really cool & would sell you a stereo from a van. And remember, "I'm-a Charizard, number, well, six." |

It is fairly slow for a sweeper, yeah, but its attack is its highest stat so I kinda made a courtesy sweeper set. I really do like the Support set better. | |

It's a very good Bug type, and X-Scissor also makes it stand out in Generation IV. Among the best Bug types like Scizor and Heracross. (And I guess you could include Drapion even though it's not a bug type...) It also has a good type mixing that helps it against flying-types. The problem is its speed. 7/10 |

Gastro Acid in 4th gen is just mean. (thanks March) |
