Forget about catching them, I don't really care (and I'll admit, I have fun with a Gameshark... call me cheating if you must, but I guess I only do it on occasion). It's training shiny pokemon that I am concerned with. I know a lot of people are under the assumption that shiny is more powerful, but is that the truth? A few well respected sites that do tests with the game have stated (and shown their tests) that shiny pokemon are simply different: they're not more powerful, they're just constant. They always have a DV of 10, which makes to about 1/3 of a regular pokemon's max stats. What do you guys think? Are your shiny pokemon more powerful or less compared to a regular (of the same species)? |

What this means is that while shinies are never as powerful as some pokémon, they are more powerful than a lot of others. : : As for me, miss use-whatever-pokémon-she-likes-without-paying-any-attention-to-how-good-its-stats-are, I'd utterly love to have mnore shinies - pretty much the only downsides I see to them are the facts that most shinies have utterly horrendous colors, and that the sparkly effect when they come out gets really, REALLY annoying after a while. ¬_¬ ::was fiddling with her shiny Ditto recently::If anyone was wondering, the only shiny I have officially caught besides Gyaro is an Ursaring. I cheated to get my Ditto, BlueMorpho, because I wanted to try to breed a shiny Pichu. ^^;; |
