Favorite Fire starter?

Favorite Grass starter?

Favorite Water starter?

Favorite overall?

I'd have to go:

Fire - Typhlosion. The thing is just cool, and it's stats really allow it to excel in sweeping.

Grass - Sceptile. Though it kind of lost Leaf Blade in 4th gen, it's extremely fast and can be used as a really nice special sweeper. It looks awesome, too.

Water - Empoleon, but it's a tough call between Nappy and Feraligatr. Empoleon's defensive capabilities are fantastic, but you can't go wrong with a friggin' aligator.

Overall - See the Water debate. It's one of those two, most definitely.

Fire: Cyndaquil, only due to being the only pure Fire type starter.

Grass: Chikorita. Again, pure Grass.

Water: Tie between Piplup and Mudkip. Empoleon's Steel type grants great defense, but Swampert learns Earthquake naturally and is part Ground. Plus, Muddy Water is an EXCELLENT Accuracy lowering attack.

Overall: No clue. Probably Mudkip right now.
