Shiny Pokemon Discussion thread.

Just talk about your encounters with shinies here.

As for me, I've caught two shinies via Pokeradar
Roselia on a chain of 1 (It was a Modest natured one with Natural Cure at that )
And a Shinx on a chain of 45 Nature: Impish

How in the bloody hell do you get a chain of 45? Mine always stops near seven.

Haven't yet caught any new shinies in D/P though I have caught and hatched around 10 in my 3rd generation games and acquired many through trades and wifi. Longest pokeradar chain I had was with spoink at 24 but no shinies as a result.

I've had a chain of 70, there's an instructional video on YouTube, I'll let you find it.

^ Well, my friend explained it, but maybe you've got an altered trick.

And you guys should know my Shiny Rapidash named Epona.

Here's an instructional youtube video:

YouTube - How to Hunt Shinies Using the Pokeradar

Just so frustrating I've tried this and haven't gotten it to work.

I found a shiny Machoke. Named it Knux, since Machamp was his favorite pokemon.

I've only encountered a wild Shiny Meowth, unable to catch. Crap.

I have a Shiny Gallade in Pearl.

I heard someone say that they found a Shiny Graveler once and it used SelfDestruct.

^ The chances of getting one are extremely low, EXTREMELY low, unless you hack your game of course.
