It's apparent that pokemon is treading dangerously close to religion. All the signs on diamond and pearl point to religion. I bet the next spinoff of the 4th gen will actually have a use for the church and go into the topic of Arceus.

Other than that...What other kinds of pokemon could they add? You can tell by pokemon like Combee and Cherubi that they're really running out of ideas.

They could do a pokemon based off of a Fennec Fox...Or a Dark/Fighting we've wanted for awhile.

They should make another Steel/Dragon. I know they have Dialgia already, but Dialgia sucks because you can't use him in the battle tower. Give me a kickass armored steel dragon of death that I can use!

Really, I've seen a lot of new additions just skimming the 4th gen pokedex that really are dumb IMO. The thing they evolved Murkrow into, that UFO-Magneton, the freaking BABY CHANSEY, the fact that the grass -eaon is LEAFeaon and not FLOReon (i.e. 'flora'- they're not Fireeon and Watereon, after all...).....

...on the other hand, there are some that are a major relief to me to see. The evolution for Yamma (finally making it at least vaguely viable), an evolution for Tangela....

Also, if they're going to make a 5th generation...They need to add a Dark type gym leader. Preferably the 8th gym.

Hey, Fly can kill Water types. You're right that he's a dragon; that's why Lance has one.

Nintendo should come out with a new pokemon that starts out as an SNES looking thing, then an evolution into an N64 thing, then have it's final evolution be a wii type thingie.

Grass/Bug already exists. Burmy & Wormadam can be grass/bug.

Fire/Bug is more than possible though...There are insects that can produce liquids/acids that burn.

Despite its moveset largely sucking like the La Brea tarpits, Paras and its evolution Parasect are indeed Bug/Grass. They have decent stats for a solid slowbody 'mon- however, their only really notable moves are Leech Life (which just doesn't cut it past about level 25, or against anything bred for moves) and Slash- the others being your basic array of status-effect grass moves, Scratch, and Spore (which, being a speed-reduction move attached to an extremely slow 'mon, is by and large a total waste). No Grass-type attacks at all, and only the one Bug-type move (excepting possibly altered movesets I don't recall for later carts- and given how successful it WASN'T in Red/Blue, I really doubt anyone gave it time of day after trying the 'mon once) it simply doesn't have the moves to back up its stats, or at least didn't when it got its chance to catch peoples' attention.
