Myself? I hate Giga Drain. In theaory, its an ok move, 60 damage and it drains enemy HP, but what I hate about this move is it's PP level. A 5?! IMO, a 5 PP count should onyl be acceptable in 2 instances, 1) if the move is 120 power+, or 2) if the move is a KO, of which GD is neither. It makes the move so restricted its all but useless, it doesn't do enough damage to sacrifice a larger PP move for, and there's not enough PP to make it a good mediocre move.

Anyway, that's my flame. Giga Drain. Boo.
Alright, yeah the 5 sucks, but if u use pp ups or a max pp, it brings it up to like 10 thats better, remember not only does that hurt the enemy but also heals you, so in all accounts giga drain is one of the best moves.

The most useless moves in my opinion, other than splash, are the lower level stat lowering moves, THEY ARE USELESS!!!

For example, if I have a hoothoot that does foresight against a ghastly, I would be able to hit it with tackle on the next turn or something.

Personally, I wouldn't use it, but I'm just sayin.
Now you're confusing your moves. Foresight and Odor Sleuth null moves the raise the opponent's evasion like Double Team (and I think it also works on moves like Sand Attack which lower your Pokemon's accuracy) if they happen to be used on the same turn. What you're thinking of Mind Reader, which guarantees a hit (same with Lock-On). Odor Sleuth and Foresight don't work if they're not used on the same turn as the evasion riser (or accuracy decreaser, again I don't know about those ones).

Lock-On and Mind Reader are useful when paired with a OHKO move. I love how they gave Articuno both Mind Reader and Sheer Cold.

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!
</font>[/quote]NOW WHOAH!!! THAT IS WRONG!!! Foresight is simly a delayed attack, you use it then on the end of the next turn, it hits, and you can use another move on the same turn. THAT is what foresight does!!

^One, don't bump old threads.
Two, harden doesn't suck, hell, I'd teach my Shuckle harden if it could learn it.

I can't believe you people are forgetting that Splash is the worst move ever (except Seraph and ex-three), which is currently known to be learned by most (or all I have no clue) baby Pokemon and Magikarp. It does absolutely nothing! NOTHING! Oh and another move that sucks: Struggle, which is used when a Pokemon has run out of Power Points for all of their moves (it comes in handy when you are constantly healing your Pokemon while trying to catch legendary Pokemon, just try to catch them before they reach Struggle).

Well. I hate Imprison. Usually the Pokemon you face doesn't have the same moves as you do. Unless you have a Vulpix or Ninetales that uses it on a Gardevoir, which is pretty stupid because it would only block it's Imprison, or vice versa

I know this is bumped, but...Flash. Seriously, it got annoying when I had a team of Pokemon I wanted to use, but had to go through a dark cave, thus I'd have to teach one Flash, which is near useless, IMO.

I think that tackle should be in the game. It's a good move for the beggining of the game. Then later in the game, you can get rid of it. I always thought that leech life was pretty useless.

This goes to CodieKitty's misunderstanding of Odor Sleuth and Foresight. It took me a while to research, as I was trying the two moves out...

The point to Odor Sleuth and Foresight is so you can attack the monster with your original accuracy and the opponent's (or opponents' if it's double battle) evasion doesn't affect how often you hit them. Basically, in short, no matter how many times they up their evasion, they can't make you miss. Unless, of course, you use a move that has accuracy lower than 100%. Also, Foresight allows you to strike Ghost-type Pokemon with Fighting and Normal moves. I'm not sure about Odor Sleuth though, I don't usually use that move. Foresight goes well with Fighting Pokemon. Say, for example, you have a Hitmonlee and you are facing a Pikachu. You use Foresight, and Pikachu uses Double Team. Basically that move is useless. Then you use Mind Reader on Pikachu. Then to finish it off, you use Mega Kick. Well, the Pikachu goes kaput, and there is a win for you in that round.

I have found stat-reducing moves quite useful, especially sand attack.
