I finally took a look at all the Mario Sunshine screenshots and I noticed how similar the graphics are to DK64. Some parts Mario Sunshine looked better, other parts DK64 looked better. Here are two similar screenshots.

As you can see the graphics are the same. Now I'm probably taking whats DK64's best aspect and comparing it to what will probably be Mario Sunshine's worst aspect if any, but I'm thinking DK64 was ahead of its time graphic wise just like the DKC was. That is pretty good considering DK64 was a middle life game of N64.

The only problem was that high graphics, plus 5 different characters with a ton of different moves, DK64 pushed the N64 to it's limit and killed the speed of the game. However, with less than 5 characters and using DK64 like graphics on GCN, Mario will no doubt be able to move very fast.

The graphics are very similar, what will DK GCN's graphic be like? Look at Star Fox Adventure screenshots and add middle life GCN to it.

I hope the DK graphics are similar to those of SSBM. Those were really good, and I hope DK look just like the one in SSBM. I just hope it's good.

I think it will probably be like SSBM graphics. Only in 3d like SFA with the fur textures.

I hope Rare makes DK GCN with DKC fur textures. That thing is what seperates DK from all the other games. The only reason they couldn't do it for DK64 was because the N64 couldn't handle it, otherwise you will get a game that runs at 3 frames per minute. Hopefully GCN is powerful enough to pull off a fast pace ACM fur texture DK GCN game without slowdowns.

Hopefully they will lay off on the mini games. Minigames are cool and all, but when they come in a barrel and are copy clones of previous ones only harder, it makes things very tedious.

ACM DK died a long time ago. Now that I think about it, DK64's graphic looks a lot like Mario Sunshine's graphics.

For DK GCN...

Make jumping on heads and throwing barrels the primary way of destroying foes again.

Bring back krazy themed kremlings. How about Midevil Kremlings, army Kremlings?

Make the levels more "get from point a to point b" platformers than "perform missions to collect stuff" platformers.

No more sucky NPCs. Try to make them closer to BK quality. Also, make sure that in one scene the bird, scarab, and the rabbit all die a slow, miserable, death. You've made your last squeak, buggy.

For Bonus Stages, put them back like they were in the DKC series. I miss the old days of collecting bananas (Or in the case of DKC 2/3 stars) and collecting the one up (Or in the case of DKC 2/3 coin) at the end.

More animal buddies too.

And finally create a method of swimming in 3-D that doesn't suck.

I agree with most of that but I would still like to keep the other moves in, the problem with DK64's jumping was you needed to jump on a Kremling twice to kill it. Once should be enough. Rolling, cartwheeling and ground slapping were just as important as jumping in the DKC games.

I didn't think DK64 had a bad swimming system. Its better than most swimming systems such as Mario 64 and Zelda. The Swimming system is at its best when your Enguard the swordfish. The only problem was it was missing an air feature.

Heh. Now that I look back at what I said, the only reason I was so hard on the swimming was because of the hell Gloomy Galleon gave me. Really, the one thing the swimming could use would be a way to make it easier to collect smaller objects under water, such as bananas.

And they reason I picked on punching and kicking is because it was fun bouncing off or cartwheeling into one enemy after another. Punching could still be used for attacking larger enemies, which could take multiple hits, but I'd like to see Kritters and Gnawties in convenient lines so I can roll, stomp, or barrel them all to death.

A game that looks similar to DK64? Strange but hey, there's a game that looks almost if not exactly like N64. Wasn't there an air feature in DK64?

Yeah, there was an air feature, Diddy's rocket jetpack. Other than that there is nothing else, unless you count DK's barrel blast.

Well, DKC games did have good graphics and they used the same engine that SMRPG used.

DK64 was the first game to require the expansion pac and I think it has some of the best N64 graphics out there.

Now we bring the graphics to the game cube level and who knows what could happen. Here are some screenshots of the Melee DK for those of you who don't know what he looks like on GameCube

Well, SSB came out before DK64, so the actual N64 version of Donkey Kong was never there. All they did was take the DKC DK and make him with N64 graphics.

Then they made a whole new DK for the actual DK64 game. He looked more "proffesionally" made.

About SSBM, I don't know if that is a revised version from DK64 or SSB, but he still looks good eaither way.

Rare supplied Nintendo with a decent model for Mario Kart 64, Mario Golf and Mario Party. But I don't think Hal got the model at all. In the credits they only mention Rare and not thanks to Rare for supplying to the DK model like in the other Mario games, so I guess Hal went ahead and attempted to make DK on their own.
