| Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2001 Location: A generic place such as a house Gender:  Posts: 4,628 Thanks: 1,489 Thanked 206 Times in 148 Posts | Basic I've said my goodbyes to my friends, to my co-workers, and I figure now's as good of a time to say goodbye to VGF... for 2 months. Over the past year and a half I've considered joining the military and even made a topic sometime debating about it. Well I've ultimately decided to join the Air Force. I've decided that where I am living now and living my mom just isn't going to work out. I need tio improve myself both physically and mentally in order to better myself. While boot camp may not necessarily change who I am, I believe that getting out on my own will develop my character and help me work towards my goals in life, away from the sanctuary of 'home' that will keep always be there to keep me safe. I'm leaving on August 30th where I will sleep over at a Holiday Inn near Raleigh MEPS and I will ship out on September 1st to begin boot camp. I won't be gone forever, merely a few months. Unfortunately I don't think the military hosts mafia games so I'll be looking forward to one of those when I get back. In the meantime, take care guys and I shall return to VGF as an Airman First Class. |
