a SSB anime, do you think it would be a good idea?
my idea for it would be that Peach and mario are hosting a tourniment to see who the greatest fighter in the universe is. of course we get our typical starters Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Samus, DK, etc. but as the series goes on more fighters show up. then near the end of the series bowser gets changed into Giga Bowser by master and crazy hand and the fighters must defeat them in order to save the universe.

but this is just my idea, you guys put what ideas you think would be good for a smash brothers anime.

okay, here's a better idea, but it needs to be an anime for 3 reasons.

1. the games and characters are made in Japan.
2. most, if not all of the characters have an anime look to them.
3. it just feels like anime material.

okay, season 1: the comming of master hand.

Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, DK, Samus, Yoshi, and Fox have been invited to a tournament heald by the mysterious Smash King, an eccentric billionare who holds private fighting events at his mansion. upon arriving he tells them that they will be fighting each other for the glory of not just their home regions, but for all of the world. the tourniment begins and the fighters proceed through the tourniment until only two remain, Mario and Link. their battle lasts for a while until the Smash king decides to change the format of the tourniment. he then splits Mario and Link into two seperate divisions and makes them fight four mystery fighters that are under mind controll. Mario faces Jigglypuff and his brother Luigi while Link faces off against Ness and C. Falcon. the two win both matches and free those under mind controll.
the final round starts up again and Mario wins against Link after a long hard fight. Mario then fights his metal clone and upon defeating Metal Mario, the Smash King reveals himself to be master hand. he also reveals that the tourni was only set up to draw attention away from his forces, the polygon fighters, taking over the lands of the combatants.

Mario tries taking on Master Hand alone but is easily defeated. Mario is ready to give up when the others come to his aid and help him take down Master Hand. with Master Hand destroyed peace returns to the lands and the fighters return home and are celebrated as heroes.

Season 2: The Cry of Darkness, Crazy Hand's Revenge!!!

peace has settled across the planet, it's been a year since Master Hand tried to take over the world but peace doesn't last forever. Professor Smash, a mad scientist that has created a new kind of fighting arena, invites anyone to his new Smash Tourniment to fully test his fighting arena. the prize for the winner would be unlimitted power and eternal glory. This drew the attention of Bowser, Gannondorf and Mewtwo who saw this as an oppertunity to get the power they had always dreamed of to take over the world. but this also drew the attention of other fighters as well as the origional twelve who fought in the last smash tourniment. the tourniment begens and progresses with many battles but in the end it came down to a 2-Vs-2 battle between the team of Mario and Link, against the theam of Bowser and Gannondorf who had cheated their way to the top. just as the battle was about tho begin Bowser betreyed Gannondorf and defeated all three of the fighters on his own. Professor Smash transforms Bowser into Giga Bowser when the heroes Marth and Roy step in and help Mario and Link take down Giga Bowser. upon his defeat Bowser returns to normal and Professor Smash reveals himself to be Crazy hand, Master Hand's demented brother. First off, the tournament should be held by a neutral character(perhaps somebody made specifically for the anime?) or even by Master Hand. It can probabyl be revealed later that the whole thing was planned by Crazy Hand. Maybe Bowser can cheat to win the tournament, then is changed into Giga Bowser and all the fighters wok together to stop him and Crazy Hand. Just my imput.

^.........yeah.......... but, um, PLEASE. NOT ANIME. (not that anime sucks[I like American shows more{styled like Teen Titans and Avatar} btw] but Anime and Nintendo DO NOT MIX!!!!) PREPARE FOR LONG, POORLY SPACED EXPLANATION

Mario is on a simple adventure, when he somehow transported into a large battle arena out of nowhere. (Final Destination) Soon after, Luigi, Link, Peach, DK and Samus appear. In a few seconds, every SSBM star and more is in the arena. As they chat about WTF happened, a huge hand comes out of nowhere. Everyone, scared, attacks it, and overwhelmed by the onslaught of attacks, he screams out "GET OFF!!!!!!!!!" He tells them he wants to create a tournament to see who is worthy of fighting him. (in ssbm his trophy says he loves to create) He gives a brief explanation, then says to watch out for his brother, Crazy Hand, who loves to destroy and cheat.
Bowser, satisfied to hear this, begins his first fight with Samus. Flattened, rolled up and tossed aside, he was overwhelmed by Samus. Angry that his rank dropped, he was enraged and became disturbingly angry. He still lost 7 fights and won only 2. After his final defeat from Pikachu, he was in last place in the ranks. Dangerously unstable, he consults Crazy Hand and asks for some way to cheat. Crazy Hand tells him "yes, this is how I take control of Master Hand and give him my power, the power to destroy." He blasts black magic at Bowser, but it doesn't hurt. He says "when the time comes, you'll be invincible!"
In the championship match against Luigi, Mario and Link, after Link's spin attack, Bowser was out. But in a few seconds, he arose and grew huge, into the monstrosity known as Giga Bowser. Then he gains control of Ganondorf and Mewtwo. When the 3 heroes are crushed, Master Hand comes to settle it. Even he is powerless, and then the 3 heroes run off to warn the fighters of the menace. Then the fighters join up to stop the 3 titans. After they are beaten, Crazy Hand takes over Master Hand and they become unstoppable. At this point, the fighters ready for the final battle.

Kinda like the whole storyline there...... anyone say it's a good story?
Anyway, nice idea Inferno Dragon.

How about heck no. Fighting games have lousy plots, cartoons based on games tend to be somewhat less than coherent, and crossovers are almost never good outside of fighting games.

Few fighting games have a GOOD story. Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter does, but SSB doesn't. In addition, even if they WERE to do one, it HAS to start out with SSB, not SSBM or SSBB. It must start at the beginning. In other words, stop having SSBM on the mind. It's not the only Smash game around, people.
