ya wavedashing's a bit tough. Just work on it.

For anyone else who doesn't know what a wavedash is, it's jumping, then immediately airdodging towards the ground. You'll slide on the ground. It has its uses.

Whoa, I didn't even know you could do that! Sounds cool, I'll have to try it sometime.

It's not very well known among casual players. I learned it at an SSBM board that deals with tournaments

I've heard of it, but I never knew how to do it.

Sounds too complex for me. Wouldnt a rolling dodge do the same thing, and be alot easier?

you can attack and shield while wavedashing. Plus, with some characters its faster than running.

Many characters its worthless for though.

I've heard DaMetroid cream his pants talking about Wavedashing. And he lends to my opinion that wavedashing and other techniques are for people obsessed with the game enough to want to try. I couldn't care less.

I also noticed that I'm no longer a demi-god with Pichu. Must be that 8 month gap in playing..

If you play a luigi without wavedashing you must truly suck.

There's no other way that can even come close to the effectiveness of wavedashing in terms of speed and control of movement with luigi, as well as outsmarting your opponent and starting and continuing combos.
You are not a worthy Luigi player ...
and remember, "I'm a-luigi *fart, Thumbs down* wannabe"

I'm telling you, I do great without the wave dash. All you need to know is how to direct the momentum.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Anyone can do just fine without wavedashing. Some people are better with it and some are better without. Quit acting like you know what you're talking about.

Wavedashing offers more combo opportunities, for example, do a non-shorthopped Fair on your opponent, then fastfall and superwavedash towards them, the fastest alternative is to fastfall and then run towards them, which takes at least twice as much time.

and btw i do know what i'm talking about

Just because the wavedash helps with your strategy doesn't mean it does with anyone elses. For example, a wavedash would probably completely screw me up because I have a strategy that calls for not going in the air often.

Actually, Shadowking, a wavedash is better for a ground based strategy than an air based one, because of its sheer potential to set you up for using your ground moves. For example you can start smashes while still moving in a wavedash, so I am completely convinced that you could benefit greatly from wavedashing.

ForwardAir, you SSBM-a Scrub number one!
