Which 1st party Character Most Deserves a Playable spot in this game? - VGF

Cel-Shaded Link. As some of you may know there was a fake interview with Sakurai in which he (supposedly) said that Baby Bowser, Diddy Kong and Cel-Shaded Link would all be playable. Know that Diddy has been confirmed the other to might be in the game as well. But as I said it was fake so Diddy's appearence might just be coincedental.

Also, Midna. The most kickass partner in a Zelda game.

I would have voted that except a Midna vs. Link fight seems kinda weird... Also if that actually does happen in TP dont tell me that. Also Cel-shaded Link is Young Link just Cel-Shaded only differnce with the old one would be some items. And know that I think of that i'm changing my vote.

^Midna vs. Link? How about a character vs. the same character as a different color? Zelda vs. Sheik? Mario vs. Luigi, DK vs. Diddy Kong. Don't you find THOSE weird as well?

Cel-Shaded Link A.K.A. Wind Waker Link. We already have TP Link, so Wolf Link would be just as redundant as Melee's Link and Young Link(except that Young Link used some moves from Majora's Mask). He has the most potential for a completely original move set, and like Mr. Game & Watch did in Melee, I love mixed graphic styles. I know that that statement is a slight contradiction since I don't like Marvel VS Capcom 2(since the first game was just a lot better IMO).

^ I would have kept my first vote but WW link is to much like Young Link form meele I'd rather have a completly new character so I voted Vaati instead.

The only similarities between WW Link and Young Link is that technically WW Link is a Young Link. That's about it. WW Link is a completely different overall character. If they use his moves only shown in his new games(Wind Waker, Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap, and maybe Phantom Hourglass) he couldn't even be called a clone. It's too easy to make him not be a clone. Half of the people doing move lists make crappy ones that don't capitalize on his originality. We couldn't have had TP without WW, after all.

How? He had almost all the same items and things like the parry attack wouldnt work. FSA wasnt cel-shaded so you cant use itmes from that. That leaves you with MC and...

B: Magic Boomerang (basicly a boomerang that can be controlled after throwing)
b> Gust Jar: Sucks in enemys then shots them back out again.
b> down: Remote Bombs
b^:Rocs Cape
Final Smash: Elzo shrinks all enemys and makes you huge for 10-15 seconds.

So you could make a moveset but I still like Vaati better.
Note: MC Vaati not FS or FSA Vaati.

You forgot that he can use completely different basic A moves simply because of his Parry abilities, and the Roc's Cape isn't even a WW Link specific. I actually would prefer the Hurricane Spin instead...but of course, they had to freaking give it to TP Link on Brawl. It originated on WW, Sakurai. Anyhoo, He can still use the Hero's Bow, since it's also the first time it was called that, and the Remote Bombs might be too abuseable(regardless of lag), so the animated Bombs would've been more fun.

I'm not saying EVERY move would be original, but it's much easier to do.

As for Vaati, I can't see many non-cloneage moves outside of his first appearence(s), being Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures. I'm not saying I don't like his Minish form, but he'd be mostly a Sword/Magic User combo(like we want Ganondorf to be) without it. His best moves HAVE been from FS/FSA after all. I got to play Minish Cap again, heh...

No Hurricane Spin is from aLttP/FS if you get ten medals and complete the riddle quest you get it. (aLttP/FS:dec.2002 WW:2003

As for Vaati his FS and FSA attacks wouldnt work because they were meant for a top down game, they wouldnt fit in on a side scroller(or side viewer). MC Vaati would have the attacks from his three boss forms, the attacks from his human form, or both.

Hurricane Spin is still a WW Link specific move, anyway. That's why intelligent people disregard remakes like A Link to the Past/Four Swords and Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon as not canon.(note that the second one is just a good example, since it really has nothing to do with the topic)

If there's one thing I've learned, is that any 3-D move can be turned into a 2-D move. The only difference would be that Vaati would probably not be as good(or better, depending on how they do it). Anyway, I have a feeling he won't even get in now, since Zelda has great enough rep with just Link, Zelda, and -obviously- Ganondorf alone.

It seems that they're giving rep to the least seen series in Smash. We've already got a total of 5 Pokémon characters(soon to be 6, since we all know Jigglypuff's returning anyway), and since it was poorly represented in Melee anyway...well, who knows.

Your poll would've been better if you hadn't put so many characters variations on it(Vacuum Luigi, Sunshine Mario?!), as some just plain out suck. I even listed them for you. Of course, I don't mean the games themself, but the characters. Paper Mario, however, it different enough, as is WW Link.

Anyway, I would vote for Captian Olimer.

Though, with Wolf link, it gives forth possibility for a vB transformation.

But his moves have already been confirmed, to my knowledge.
