However, I created this thread to remember the 2 previous SSBs. Why? Because SSB64 was kick-ass! |

ANYWHAT, I remember playing the original SSB waaaay back when with my bro and sis when we'd rent it. I can remember our frantic scramble to unlock the Mushroom Kingdom stage before we'd have to return it... good f'ckin times. |

Then again, so is melee, but we can't gyp the originals. I can't count the number of times I almost died because of the pokemon that jump out and attack you in that one stage... and the Hyrule Castle twisters didn't help either. Oh, good times. I have to go replay that now. |

.Now that I've transcribed your worst nightmares... My aunt randomly sent me SSB the summer it came out, and I couldn't put it down. I totally wrecked as Ness. Unfortunately, I lost all of my SSB skills while learning SSBM, and as such am quite pathetic at the original today. Did this happen to anyone else? | |

For Brawl to be on the next console would require an almost Duke Nukem Forever-ish setback. I didn't lose my Smash 64 skills entirely, but I have a lot less patience for the slower pacing of that game (especially if you're in 4-player & get some Pokéballs). And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

(God that game was the biggest disappointment in the history of the world...) Slow pacing is a problem, as well is the absence of air-dodging. That totally kills me when I try to revert to the original. |

I hope it comes out for Virtual Console. |

| Senior Member | ^Oh, Wright is HARD. You have to spam Mega's Up+B a LOT. Oh, and make sure he doesn't get the Smash Ball: his Objection! Final Smash hurts. SSB was kickass, with intros, cool victory screen and that Hyrule stage. Good to see Brawl is moving in it's direction a bit, in that sense. |
