Have any of you experienced?

Loading problems with your copy of Brawl.

I just fought like 15 minutes this morning trying to get my copy to load, it's ridiculous. (ML, we didn't have any rubbing alcohol in the house)

If so, how did you guys fix the loading problem?

It happened the second time I tried loading it up--'disc-read error' or some such. I just took it out, rubbed it on my shirt, and popped it back in. Started working again.

It happened the first time I played. Didn't happen again.

Yeah, the alternative to cotton swab + rubbing alcohol is rubbing the bottom with your shirt, like Boo said. Granted, you have a clean shirt.

Brawl is the first Wii game to be on a duel layered disk. As such, it's more sensitive to dirt. To my understanding, it's usually the system, not the game disk that's the problem.

The first time we played, the system wouldn't even recognize that a disc had been loaded. Moments later, we discovered why: My roommate had put it in backwards.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Never had this happen, but my Wii tends to try to load (any game) and then fail, and require a restart in general.

It IS sorta old now, I guess...

Honestly, I'm willing to guess that most of the people here have played the game more than I have.

A simple cleaning of the system's lens will fix the problem. Nintendo is even doing it for free at the moment.
