My name is Pat, from the Super Smash Stadium at SMBHQ.

SSS is going through some format changes, and one of the things we'd like to change is getting a new message board.

I've talked to Jay Resop about this, and he recommended I ask if you guys wouldn't mind shifting this forum from a generic SSB forum to a Super Smash Stadium forum.

Now, keep in mind, the general topics that you guys are used to would probably stay the same. We'd just throw in the occaisional, "hey, Look, there's a new match up on SSS!" and link to it.

So, what do you all think?

It's a section on SMBHQ where we pit computer fighters against eachother, watch them fight, write down what they do, add some dialogue, and then post it on the website.

In that case, no. Not if that's what the forum is mainly for. I could care less if it was discussed along with SSB/SSBM.

besides, Computer fights are boring.

You will still be free to discuss SSB/SSBM... I believe I already said that...

And computer fights are NOT boring. It's interesting to see how the CPU likes to get itself out of situations.

Nobody did. But SSS needs an official board, and it seems like this one would be an ideal conversion, since it revolves msotly around SSB anyway.

I'll change the name to a more generic form right now. Then ye shall be free.

I'll agree with that. I'd much rather see two human players fight than two computers. I guess it would be a good idea to do the stadium thing here, it would add more topics...

Human fights are unbalanced... Computers at the same level are a more "realistic" representation of how a fighter would combat.

pat is right, but the fact that human vs human battles ARE unbalanced makes for greater competition! (btw, this is hferg, case you couldnt tell lol)

We still do computer fights? I thought all our matches were made up and contrived now.

Anyway, you can not hope to stand against us, VGFers. Tremble in Terror!

Considering how stupid the AI of SSB compu-players are, "realistic" is the LAST word I'd just to describe their performance.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Red face

The sheer fact that we're talking about Super Smash Brothers in a topic is amazing in itself. Should this have been a normal SSS board, we'd be screaming at each other by now.

...

I mean; SSS is very entertaining and we're all very nice and Pat updates often. Ahem.

Let me spell it out for you morons.

SSS is no long computer players. We have too many non-SSBM fighters for it to be comps.
