Jigglypuff is really handy since if you Rollout someone with high damage, it should knock them out to the side and you'll get all those coins. I just need to learn how to use it more effectively. I'm not allowing myself to finish this without a single point. Hmm.. I haven't tried simply staying out of the fray and letting them do all the work. Why? Because even if the CPUs are getting filthy rich, as soon as the tools start dropping, they get KOed. So instead I help to beat the crap out of them and Dark Dive whenever I'm sure I'll send them off the side. So, I guess I'm just making it hard on myself. I don't wanna come in fourth again. 450, but I got knocked out when the timer was at 3. Damned Boswer This time I had about 930 coins and I got knocked out by a tool in the last 5 seconds. I wanted to quicly roll to the house on the right of the screen, but my first roll ended exactly where a tool landed ![]() [ April 10, 2005, 04:04 PM: Message edited by: Koga ] |

All CPUs on the far left, ignoring the Gerudo. He calmly pivots and charges energy into his fist... Wham. Triple KO. Gold coins poured onto me, and surviving the last seconds let me finish with a score of 1288. The Tubbo is back in business. |

Scores were trumped, trumped again, and newcomer Crav came along and kicked everyone's ass. But in the end, persistance paid off, because his nasty score was topped not once, but twice! I barely managed to stay in the rankings, then had a BEAUTIFUL stroke of luck and finished with an insane amount of coins, letting me back into first. I was most pleased, as I was ready to give up and settle for a losery 1 point. ....I notice that Marilink didn't play this one at all. That sucks. At least he still claims the overall #2 spot, and I'm sure he'll hold onto it.Now, the scores! First is Tubbo with 1288, which I couldn't have gotten without the Melee gods on my side (heh), and second comes Yoshimaster with his amazing 994. And somehow, pushed into third is Cravdraa with his 992, who frankly I expected to **** all over everyone else's scores. He certainly gave that impression. But everyone else also played very well, and their scores merit a listing: Koga- 853, and initially our holder of the #1 spot 007- 804, a good start, but unfortunately, trumped all too easily PM- 719, not bad at all, given the circumstances! Knux- 467, eheheheh, I can't make fun of this, for all too many times I got KOed in the last few moments and ended with a score right around here. Aaaaaaaaaaaand the rankings! Jumbled up a little bit- Tubster/Ganondorf: 6 Marilink/Dr. Mario: 5 Yoshimaster/Yoshi: 5 Koga/Falco: 2 Knux/Pikachu: 1 Cravdraa/Ness: 1 PM/Jigglypuff: 0 007/Capt. Falcon: 0 (Anyone without points that also misses a match is dropped from the rankings, as has been done with Chunky. If he returns, though, he's still expected to use Mr. Game & Watch.) And finally, our next challenge. As I promised, every 5th match will be a battle without extreme, or even slightly crazy conditions; simply you and the computers in a fight for survival. As such, this is a stock match. If your Melee skills are looking good, you should bode well. Match Five Settings: FREE FOR ALL Mode: Melee Map: Big Blue CPUS: Peach(9) Mr. Game & Watch(9) Marth(9) Stock: 15 Time: 20 Minutes Handicaps: None Damage: 1.0 Items: Food, Star Rod, Motion Sensor Bomb, Cloaking Device on MEDIUM setting Self Destructs: 0 The time limit on this is quite generous; you should be finished well before the time is up. Being a stock match, your final score will be based on the amount of KOs you inflicted. This is a pretty annoying level to play on, so try to pummel your foes without self destructing (even if it's irrelevant to the actual score) and don't let their stock go to waste on an SD, too. G&W shouldn't provide much of a challenge at all, and AI-controlled Marth is easy to dispose of. Peach, on the other hand, can be very annoying if allowed. Deal with her carefully! |

Edit: On the new one, are we just going by total KO? First try got me 15. =p All of those computers are hard to fight with Ness. [ April 11, 2005, 12:29 AM: Message edited by: Cravdraa ] |

This stage is giving me some trouble. I knocked out Peach 6 times, G&W 9 times, and Marth 6 times. After a couple of more tries (scoring between 18 and 21) I now got 23 (Peach 6 , G&W 9, Marth 8). Incidentally, this was the first match I actually won (with 2 stocks left). You were right about Peach, Tub, she is annoying as hell. [ April 11, 2005, 08:19 AM: Message edited by: Koga ] |

I think I can do much better than this, as I could've knocked out G&W a lot more, and I also got knocked out by a bomb, when Peach still had to stock left. |

Something that's always bothered me about stock matches is, if you're defeated first, you've got to wait for all the CPUs to finish fighting before you can quit. EDIT: Got 24.
