Anyone who visited this forum back in the day remembers Cravdraa's game. For those that don't, I'll explain what happens, and give a few rules everyone must abide by-

I will post a match setup for Melee with very specific guidelines to follow- What your opponents and their levels will be, items, ratios, time, stock, level, you name it. Every challenge will be unique, and I'll try my hardest to make them not only interesting, but a real test of skill. Once I've posted a new challenge, everyone participating will configure the settings I've listed and give it their best shot. Post your scores afterwards, and say in 3 days' time, I'll end the match and declare someone the winner, distribute the points, and post the settings for the next challenge. Simple and fun as hell if we can get a lot of addicted gamers into it.

Rules:
</font>
 • The person with the highest score at the end of the match will be given 3 points. Second place will be awarded 2 points, and third will recieve one. Anything lower than that recieves nothing.</font>
 • People with tied scores that are also in the rankings will be treated as the same placeholder and be given the same amount of points.</font>
 • I realise that score posting is left entirely up to the player's honor, but please do not cheat. Any scores proven to be impossible will be disqualified. Players with possible but insane scores may be asked to give a detailed explanation of the match's events.</font>
 • Anyone playing is ENCOURAGED to play the challenge as many times as they wish before the time is up. Try to improve those scores!</font>

Very Important Rules: </font>
 • Before we begin any challenges, participants must decide on the character they will use and post it. You must use this character for ALL challenges. People may choose the same character as someone else if they wish.</font>
 • You may choose to switch characters well into the challenge, but at the cost of half of your points.</font>

There, enough of the damn technical crap. Post the character you'll be using, and after, say, 5 or so have joined (myself included of course!) I'll post the first match.. a nasty little challenge from Crav's previous topic.

I'll keep each match reasonably brief. And if you're reading this, Cap'n, might I convince you to post the current rankings in the header along with their points and scores for the latest match as we go along? Adds a little more fun to it, methinks.

Now, those wishing to join (no limit to participants), carefully decide your character. I will be using.. Jigglypuff. Destruction and humiliation to all opposition.. wearing a shiny little crown.

One last note- I happen to be out all day, every day. Please be patient when waiting for an update.

Once the equipment is mine to command, I'll be the lean, mean, green machine. Do start without me, though, it's not like I'll be winning often anyway.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

One more person and we'll fire it up.

Once Hayfever gets his Cube, I'll have to carefully plan the matches, since he's not going to have a bunch of characters and stages unlocked.

Excellent, guys. Now, to get your feet wet.. a delightful little game that some (or perhaps none) of you might be familiar with. Better warm up those fingers...

Match One Settings:
FREE FOR ALL
Mode: Invisible Melee
Map: Brinstar Depths
CPUS: Falco(9) Young Link(9) Samus(9)
Time: 7 Minutes
Handicaps: None
Damage: 1.0
Items: Bob-omb, Motion Sensor Bomb, Red Shell, Metal Box, Bunny Hood on MEDIUM Setting
Self Destructs: -2

A playdate has been arranged for you in hell, where Kraid has assumed the role of the devil. And with these conditions, it's going to feel like it. Enjoy.

Remember, play as many times as you like and keep us updated with your progress, and of course, your frustrations! And make sure you have EVERYTHING pre-set correctly! Now go kick some ass!

heh, Picked one of my toughest, I see. Careful guys, if this is a sign of things to come, I've got a feeling Tub'll get much more evil than I ever was.

The funny thing about Cap's situation is that when I started this out, I had to keep things simple because a lot of players were just getting the game or hadn't unlocked everything yet. The more things change...

Wow... I am simply not capable of competing in that anymore. I am so out of practice in this game.

First try was -9. I could not keep track of sheik. lol

I suppose I'll try again tommorow.

Squeaked away with a -9...Jeez, the description makes it sound easier than it is.

I forgot to add that I'll wrap this up late Friday night, say 12 AM EST.

This is a particularly mean one, but they're not all like that. The next one I have in mind should be much easier. I think.

I'll try it later today, but I highly doubt that I will get a score above 0.

My first attempt got me -15.

It's really frustrating to use Falco on this stage. He falls very fast and most of his good moves require you to press down. The presence of a CPU Falco doesn't make it any easier either.

Tub, you should have turned Pausing off, that made it easier. Wait what am I saying, keep it on, KEEP IT ON!

This time I got a -7. In stead of jumping around like an idiot I decided to stay in one place as much as I can and hit the C-Stick to the left or right.

Thanks for the tips, ML. With the help of the pause button and the C-stick I was able to get -5. 13 KOs, 12 Falls and only 3 SDs.

I never knew the C-stick was that useful. I always use the tap + A for Smash moves, but this is much easier (and cheaper ).

New score: 0 (13 KOs, 11 Fals, 1 SD)

Quick question: Is the overall scoring based on who wins each round or on adding up each person's score per round?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
