For those that don't, I'll explain what happens, and give a few rules everyone must abide by- I will post a match setup for Melee with very specific guidelines to follow- What your opponents and their levels will be, items, ratios, time, stock, level, you name it. Every challenge will be unique, and I'll try my hardest to make them not only interesting, but a real test of skill. Once I've posted a new challenge, everyone participating will configure the settings I've listed and give it their best shot. Post your scores afterwards, and say in 3 days' time, I'll end the match and declare someone the winner, distribute the points, and post the settings for the next challenge. Simple and fun as hell if we can get a lot of addicted gamers into it. Rules: </font>
Very Important Rules: </font>
There, enough of the damn technical crap. Post the character you'll be using, and after, say, 5 or so have joined (myself included of course!) I'll post the first match.. a nasty little challenge from Crav's previous topic. I'll keep each match reasonably brief. And if you're reading this, Cap'n, might I convince you to post the current rankings in the header along with their points and scores for the latest match as we go along? Adds a little more fun to it, methinks. Now, those wishing to join (no limit to participants), carefully decide your character. I will be using.. Jigglypuff. Destruction and humiliation to all opposition.. wearing a shiny little crown. One last note- I happen to be out all day, every day. Please be patient when waiting for an update. Do start without me, though, it's not like I'll be winning often anyway. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Once Hayfever gets his Cube, I'll have to carefully plan the matches, since he's not going to have a bunch of characters and stages unlocked. |

Careful guys, if this is a sign of things to come, I've got a feeling Tub'll get much more evil than I ever was. The funny thing about Cap's situation is that when I started this out, I had to keep things simple because a lot of players were just getting the game or hadn't unlocked everything yet. The more things change... |

I am so out of practice in this game. First try was -9. I could not keep track of sheik. lol I suppose I'll try again tommorow. |

This is a particularly mean one, but they're not all like that. The next one I have in mind should be much easier. I think. ![]() |

It's really frustrating to use Falco on this stage. He falls very fast and most of his good moves require you to press down. The presence of a CPU Falco doesn't make it any easier either. |

In stead of jumping around like an idiot I decided to stay in one place as much as I can and hit the C-Stick to the left or right. |

With the help of the pause button and the C-stick I was able to get -5. 13 KOs, 12 Falls and only 3 SDs. I never knew the C-stick was that useful. I always use the tap + A for Smash moves, but this is much easier (and cheaper ). New score: 0 (13 KOs, 11 Fals, 1 SD) [ March 30, 2005, 10:35 AM: Message edited by: Koga ] |
